Christian Nationalism is a Cult of Convenience

Here’s a simple way to think about AI use: If the AI is doing the thinking, it’s too much. If the AI is supporting your thinking, it’s appropriate. The difference is intention and awareness.
One of the clearest signs of heavy AI use is writing that feels flat. It says the right things, but it doesn’t say them in a way that feels distinctly human. Your voice is what connects you to readers. If that disappears, your work loses its value.
AI is not going anywhere. And ethical use of AI in writing doesn’t mean avoiding it altogether. It means the ideas, voice, and structure of the work remain the writer’s. AI should support your writing; it should not replace it.
No one is allowed to say they didn’t vote for this. You voted for a vulgar, narcissistic, incompetent, mentally ill, bigoted, unfit, incompetent, maleficent person to run the United States of America. You knew exactly what you were doing. Stop pretending.
Hi Monica! I am a resistor and democracy defender who follows you. Would love to be included!🩵

I didn’t expect to write about this—but the hypocrisy here is hard to ignore. This one is personal, too.

Everyone needs to stop what they’re doing and watch this video.
“It seems like there’s a lack of diversity here today, and it’s mostly people who look like you and me, and I just…?”

It's not just about voter ID--and never really was.
A follow-up to my previous Substack on the SAVE Act.
The conversation around the “male loneliness epidemic” is growing louder. This isn’t just about loneliness. It’s about cultural transition. I explore the tension—and what I’m seeing as the parent of an 18-year-old son—in this piece.
She never lived to see this moment, but it’s worth remembering that none of this would have happened without Virginia Giuffre.
She had the courage to speak out against power and privilege when it was just her word against Andrew’s.
Thanks to her, justice & accountability may finally have its day.
Never in a million years did I ever fathom when I resurrected the Epstein story in 2018 that it would lead to first arrest of a British Royal in four centuries. Not since King Charles I was arrested in 1647.

Thank you for all of your work, Julie! I really enjoyed your book. (And having Julia Whalen narrate it, was <chef's kiss>.)

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change—all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

Post from Amanda Gorman’s Instagram that says amandascgorman Minneapolis, Minnesota For Renee Nicole Good Killed by ICE. on January 7, 2026 by Amanda Gorman They say she is no more, That there her absence roars, Blood-blown like a rose. Iced wheels flinched & froze. Now, bare riot of candles, Dark fury of flowers, Pure howling of hymns. If for us she arose, Somewhere, in the pitched deep of our grief, Crouches our power, The howl where we begin, Straining upon the edge of the crooked crater Of the worst of what we've been. Change is only possible, & all the greater, When the labour & bitter anger of our neighbors Is moved by the love * better angels of our nature.
Amanda Gorman wrote this poem for Renee Good and that’s it for me tonight.
