Depends what you want to do with the other £500 change.

Just chiming in to say I agree with this opinion. I think he could even be a passable PM, but for the fact he'd be a lightning rod for the worst press.
Meanwhile in his energy mandate he does appear to be getting stuff done. Let's not "Peter Principle" him.
Hollandaise too!

Can we also discuss how, where there is a grass verge (often with trees) between the bouse and the road, the local authority still permits a dropped kerb for access - and then for the homeowner to annex (tarmac) "their" bit of grass verge - handily expanding their driveway for free with public land!
Many people don't get this point. A driving ban also hits really differently for someone who lives in a city compared to someone in a rural setting with literally no public transport.
Not saying they should be let off, but there is signifiantly different impact for same crime.
[Takes deep breath and channels Tom Lehrer]
It was released in 1999. If you take 27 years off their ages it is not so anachronistic.

Don't see why Kate took Daphne's legs with her too.
I think we have discussed blocklists we share before, and it is confusing at times.
I agree that there is way too much of 'playing the man and not the ball'* by those who run the risk of gl*nn*rism. It frankly muddies the water for open debate.
(*probably need a less 'on the nose' metaphor!)
It's one step across from "Why are there so many black faces in adverts!?!?!"
If you just remove the "crime solving" to make it about a bickering duo, I'd watch.
I think my views come from experience being brought up in Bath where there were many in category 1 (allotment, ducks, and little interest in politics other than OXFAM subs and hydropower)
This is that, but on steroids, as there are now at least three bits to the Party, not two.
Original green always had:
1. the "doggedly rational scientists" and
2. "conservative horticulturalists" (like here).
Now it is also contending with:
3. Prog Left (with its tail up).
Or "Those who don't read short 1970s sci-fi parables are doomed to repeat them."

People on here this morning talking about the price of stuff.
Well I'm currently trying to save to buy a house and let me tell you it has severely curtailed my smashed avocado expenditure.
Let's Go To Golgotha!
Yep, it's the way that many an uneconomical car shuffles off this mortal coil. Insurance, even on a complete shed is more expensive than various minor items that will also be MOT failures. Those who skimp on one will skimp on another.
I seem to recall that under the Public Disorder Act 1986 you need the following:
Affray: 2 or more
Violent disorder: 3 or more
Riot: 12 or more
So it seems like an orgy is somewhere between violent disorder and a riot on the Bevan Scale.

Duly subscribed - my algorithm is already borked as my own kids kept on setting themselves up with channels, then forgetting the details and doing new ones, which of course i had to sub too as well!
(Your nephew's content is also better that their ramblings)
I recall under the last govt when a minister on the Today prog used a second derivative to try and justify an increase ("the rate of the increase has declined") proving his mathematical calculus was on point even if ultimately his electoral calculus wasn't.
Wot no mausoleum?
But..."socialized healthcare" and "NHS 'Death Panels'"!
I loved Singapore when I went about ten years ago.
I first went in 1990 and was surprised to see that they had flattened Raffles!
Regrettably I asked some at the time who knew about it - and hated it as "a tool of EU indoctrination"
"But we are off to the Cayman Islands to check on our money! That bulb will be on until we get home!"
"Yes. You're right. All those bulbs will cost us... maybe even 20p until we get home. Best buy that car switch now."
Option 1: "Dammit yes. Will remember next time"
Option 2: "Let's spend £50000 on a car that we can use as a light switch (and spend another £300 a year to make that function work or it is just another car)"
