It’s that time of year again…

Sending my love to all the women who feel their coziest when they’re holding a warm mug with both hands.

Your season is here.

I hope you’re enjoying every bit of it….you deserve it.

One of the things about "the font is woke" is that they clearly have run out DEI copper wiring to rip out of the walls so they're just searching for literally anything to claim as a victory

Born to run: how exercise expanded the landscape of my life and got my mind on track | Joseph Earp Running tends to get characterised as an entirely physical pursuit, which is probably why I avoided it for so long

I’ll bookmark these places. I checked out Niri on Insta, and it looks absolutely mouth-watering. Thanks for the recommendation. :)

Outstanding, that's my summary. I really ought to explore more places in the capital. There is excellence beyond Dubai. 😂

Hahaha, I haven't heard that phrase in a while. I have an account but neither check nor use it. I was in Abu Dhabi last week at a place called Strawfire.

Whereas the influence of newspaper barons like Murdoch was 'in the shadows', through the back door of Downing St & splashed across front pages, the tech media age of Musk allows the algorithm to get directly into people's heads, activating emotional trigger points in a more targeted, insidious way.

All those tech billionaires in the room and they cannot plug in a mic

That was the whole point, after all. Ban it or be forced to sell it to us. I can’t believe that Ego thinks he can control everything.

We must stop referring to the grooming gangs as “Muslim” gangs. Why are journalists doing this? There is nothing to suggest religion played a part. We don’t call the vast majority of groomers “Christian groomers” or “Christian paedophiles”. Grooming gangs involving some Pakistani men is accurate.

Trump has the entire tech bros in a chokehold. I dread to see where this is all going.

Well I’ll be darned. They’ve done it: crowd-sourcing truth. Expertise and evidence be damned. This is a populist epistemic victory right here. Make no mistake about why this is their policy *in the US*

"In the UK, serious crimes such as rape require the Crown Prosecution Service's approval for the police to charge suspects.
Who was the head of the CPS when rape gangs were allowed to exploit young girls without facing justice? Keir Starmer, 2008-2013,"

In addition, Starmer launched an overhaul of the way the CPS investigates sexual abuse to ensure more perpetrators are brought to justice. The reforms also paved the way for historic cases to be reviewed.

Musk also claimed safeguarding minister Jess Phillips was "refusing to investigate the rape gangs" in order to protect Starmer, following a report this week that the government had rejected Oldham Council's request for a Home Office-led inquiry into historic child sex abuse in the town.
Phillips said in a letter to the local authority that she believed it was for the council itself to
"decide to commission an inquiry into child sexual exploitation locally, rather than for the government to intervene" , according to GB
News.
Officials confirmed it was the government's view that local authorities are best placed to commission local inquiries, citing the precedent for probes in Rotherham and Telford, other towns blighted by grooming gang-related child sex abuse.

Elon Musk and Tommy Robinson some useful context in the FT

Suella Braverman has just told #lbc listeners that not only has Italy built a wall on "its border with Turkey" but that she has been there "and seen it."

Elon Musk is a good example of how terrible people become increasingly radicalized into the far right simply because the far right is a community that accepts cruel, terrible people.

It's tempting to say Elon is going "mask off", but I'd wager Elon didn't know who Tommy Robinson was 5 years ago. 1/

One of life’s unanswered questions is how this man has entanglements and adoring fan pages from women. What am I missing in all the static mess? Ladies, let’s be clear: this isn’t your typical “I can fix him” kind of chap. It's as broken as Brexit!

They have been promoting them for a while. What does Musk want in return? What has he been promised?
