Opinion: The president is dismantling an important program for Alaska libraries and museums — and Alaskans. Please help save it. This funding supports critical infrastructure, technology, training and education and community programs for museums, cultural centers, and libraries.

In Alaska—and every state—communities need the services and programs that federal library funding supports. www.adn.com/opinions/202...

To all academic librarian colleagues, this must-see video discusses why AI clauses should not be included in the library's licenses. While the video is based on US copyright law and circumstances are a bit different in Canada, it is still good to watch.

A a must-read, especially for library students. Practical experience is important. Seek co-op or practicum opportunities to develop these skills. I hope library programs evolve quickly. I learned a lot of soft skills when I earned my degree. I don't want the library schools to go away.
