Chicago students took 13,000 dual credit classes last year. Is it paying off? Dual credit can help students be better prepared for college and avoid debt. But some worry about watered-down curriculums and students ending up with credits that selective colleges might not accept.

Has been a huge increase in #Chicago dual credit courses (college courses for high school students). But "on some campuses, sharp increases in dual credit participation have not yet translated into gains in college enrollment & persistence." buff.ly/pYDLiLP #highered #AcademicSky @chalkbeat.org

New review: Zee Carlstrom's MAKE SURE YOU DIE SCREAMING "explores the distance between the truth and what we choose to believe and considers what such a distinction means for a person’s ability to be honest with themself and with others."
