Every single 9 year old in my nearest school can use language, punctuation, grammar, and capital letters, correctly. They also understand that while everyone is unique, we're also all the same. This on the other hand...

Country that lectures Iran on democracy arrests another 523 people for peacefully protesting The absurdity surrounding the UK’s treatment of Palestine Action and its supporters has reached new lows.

This is fabulous. I remember the yellow buses much later than the 60s.

Empty flat sandy beach, without people, without even footprints. Bright blue sky, hint of cloud. And.... nothing else.

There was an X-class solar flare yesterday morning; an associated CME is heading our way. Forecasts vary wildly about magnitude & timing.

Expect at least G2 storm conditions, possibly up to G4, this afternoon or evening (UTC time)

But will the terrestrial weather cooperate?

i was the only person under 60, and the only person under 30. someone i'd never met before left me the keys for their apartment, and left for the east coast. never saw them again. for many reasons it was a weird, unplanned and unplannable day, in august 1998. love cannon beach though.

i've only been once, but this is where i first saw the pacific ocean, and it was a humbling experience. its also the day i first saw an industrial cheese plant (Tillamook) - that was not a humbling experience. i was the only non-american person on a bus i shouldn't have been on.

Love that this person is somewhat part sunk into the snow on Enceladus. This is gorgeous.

Epic. I hope this person continues to smash expectations.

Position I'm defending: there are no good tools with sensible pricing for crafting, managing, analysing & documenting PERT charts, unless u wish to do only 2 of those things, and you're ok with charts that look dreadful, and with wrong answers. That's my position. Prove me wrong. #projectManagement

There's so much here to be angry and distressed and sad about that i pretty much feel so fortunate and privileged that its almost shameful to post anything jovial, silly or positive. The artists and creatives here are the only reason I haven't left. I wish them all a peaceful weekend.

What the. Washing machine has a 'Downloaded' cycle setting... and no, it does not mean 'Pillows filled with goose feathers'.

Last time I was in Billund took train to Copenhagen, then over to Malmö. There's easy adventures to be had, but you need to throw some time at them.
If none of that works, spend a day on the waterslides at Billund ;)

Find a toddler that's just learned it's not the most important thing in the universe, so maybe a 3-4 year old, and there's someone with more emotional maturity than <that knobtard>. You all need to end this, and shame for not having done so already.

Maybe the folks ranting about DST would find it more acceptable if they did it at the same time as most everybody else instead of too early (/late). Not advocating for it one way or t'other, but doing it away from the equinoci makes no sense.

Just don't know what to think about <everything> today, but, i get a tomorrow, which is no small blessing. Looking for positives, chatgpt is losing relevance in dynamic and rapid ways, so that's nice.

Satellite proposals threaten the night sky In the United States, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the agency responsible for authorizing satellite launches and operations…

Despite the FCC making it ridiculously hard to submit comments, over 300 have already been submitted for both SpaceX's million sat filing, and Reflect Orbital's filing. If you have time and energy, you could add yours to the list! darksky.org/news/two-sat...

Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science! ⭐️

Loved my research, but was drawn to follow my passion in a way I could combine science, art, and education. It’s a privilege to share my paintings with you! Thanks for sticking around to support this journey 🤗

The kids are alright: CUSD students demonstrate against ICE | Claremont COURIER Some 700 Claremont Unified School District students walked out of classes Wednesday and marched to the intersection of Indian Hill and Foothill Boulevard for a 90-minute protest of the federal immigra...

I’m so inspired by these young people right here in Claremont and across the country who are coming together to stand up against Trump's authoritarianism. Together, we will continue to stand up for our rights, dignity, and safety. claremont-courier.com/schools/the-...
