Photo of a man holding a remote to a heat pump unit with text: Simply put, a heat pump is an all-electric system that moves heat instead of making it. They're 3-4x more efficient than traditional alternatives, resulting in energy savings and lower carbon emissions. Heat pump systems: can cool and heat, all in one; provide quiet, reliable comfort; work in cold climates and high altitudes; can lower your energy bill.
Illustrations of heat pumps working in the summer and winter with the text: In the summer, a heat pump HVAC system moves heat from inside of your house to outside of it. This cools your home. In the winter, the same HVAC system moves heat from outside to inside. Even when it's cold outside, there's enough heat in the air for the heat pump to warm your home.
Black text on yellow background reading: Heat pumps are going mainstream, and they're a critical part of California's clean energy future. If you're in need of a new water heater, air conditioner, space heater, or clothes dryer, consider a heat pump system. Learn more and find savings: AvaEnergy.org/go-electric
