I think it really says something that my current obsessions are all about getting out and as far away from society as possible. 🙃

I am so incredibly tired of insecure men who would rather make that insecurity everyone else's problem than to do the actual work of addressing it.
Italy has a wealth of fantastic artists and animators, and yet the Italian Olympic Committee went with AI slop in the opening ceremony? Barf.
Also, NBC, air the boos. All you've done by editing them out is signal you're willing to be a mouthpiece of a corrupt regime.
Dunno who complained about not enough snow to Heikki Lunta recently, but I'd say he heard your plea.
Release the Epstein Files, unredacted, unabridged.
Abolish ICE and prosecute every single member, from the top to bottom.
Remove, prosecute, and imprison the entire Trump administration for its crimes against the American People, and the world at large.
Only then can we move forward and rebuild.
Warmest night all week is Wednesday at 15°F/-9°C, all the way down to -12°F/-24°C on Friday night... whew!
Man, this week through Sunday would be some great hot tent camping weather in Michigan.
Something I need to do more is making maps just for the sake of it. For a while I struggled with what to make, but this past autumn I decided to tie in my like of hiking. So, here's a trail map of the Manistee River Trail, in the northwest Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
Thanks for making an absolute mockery of the Winter Classic, and of outdoor hockey in general, Bettman. Dickhead.
Case in point, I've never been a fan of both the US Army Corps of Engineers inland waterways map app, nor the NOAA ENC viewer app, so now I'm looking at everything in ArcGIS Pro instead. 😂
I love being a GIS professional, because whenever I come across a US government mapping app I dislike using, it's easy enough for me to figure out where the data sits, and do what I want with it.
Happy Solstice, friends. Winter has arrived, bringing with it the cold and dark. But, soon, the light will return, and with it, the warmth. Rest now, and know that the darkest days of the year are behind us.
Those photos of the Trump administration from Vanity Fair are so comically bad. It's not the photographer being inexperienced or incompetent, I've seen his other work and it's quite good. This was deliberate, and I am here for this pettiness.
Man... imagine being out camping in north central Minnesota right now.
Gods that Saturday morning workout afterglow is amazing
December 13th: *exists*
Swedish people, no matter where in the world they happen to be: "I'mma strap some candles to my head."
Goddammit. For the last couple of days now, I've been seriously jonesing for a burger from a restaurant that's a little over 4,100 miles away. Kinda hard to just up and scratch that itch. 🫠
If only someone had spoken up, surely they would have listened. /s
Senate just rejected Healthcare bills from both Democrats and Republicans, effectively guaranteeing the end of ACA subsidies. Schumer sold us out.
Primary every single sitting Democrat Congress member.
The thing I hate about spending time on the rowing machine in the gym is that it works muscles I didn't know I had, which leads me to being sore in places I didn't know I could be. 😶
Ok, reminder to self next time you go shooting photos at night, in the winter: wear some damn gloves.
Ohio looks like a bad pair of underpants.
I still love that the MDOT UP district has a snow plow named "Sisu."
Honestly heartwarming to see North Carolinians chasing ICE through the woods with rifles. Nice to see some rednecks have gone back to their roots, and stopped licking boots.
Started reading a Nordic Noir novel to unwind a bit this evening. Got a few chapters in and quickly realized the particular one I chose probably wasn't the best thing to read right before bed. 😅
Happy Opening Day to my friends in Michigan who hunt. May your sights be true, your powder be dry, and the wisdom of Alphonse Soady guide your hands.
I urge all of my friends in the US, if you have a local election today, go vote, if you haven't voted early! Local elections are just as important, and have much more immediate and direct consequences.
Anna von Hausswolff and Florence + The Machine both dropping new albums on Halloween? Today is gonna sound fantastic.
Happy Devil's Night, Michiganders. 😈
