2) incessant helicopters after George Floyd was murdered and now.

In 2020 your block set up a group text thread to coordinate watch shifts (including overnight) to look out for outside agitators who were setting things on fire & being violent.

Now you're at it again, this time for the violent assault on your neighborhood from the fed govt.

A friend who is working to organize rapid response told me this yesterday:

ICE is snatching people as they get out of their cars at gas stations, leaving the cars at the pumps, often with the doors wide open. People responding have to move the cars and then find out how to reach family.

Mayor Frey describes incident where federal agents snatched someone out of their car on 3rd Ave: "They left the car in the middle of the street. The car wasn't even in park. So you've got this vehicle that's rolling down the street with nobody in it."
