I’m NOT saying to never talk about oneself, all I wanted to say is that showing genuine interest in what somebody else is telling you is something you can train and not in a “woah I’m a cryptobro convomaxxing” way, but rather in a “I wanna learn more about the people I care”

I never said replying with a personal anecdote is bad! Of course you can sprinkle in some of your own stories, I do that too!

My point was more about the fact to make a conversation more balanced out by asking follow up questions! You can talk about yourself but also ask the other person questions!

I have my fair share of conversation where a simple “how are you -I’m good” is totally enough!

Some of my favorite conversations I ever had was by asking the right questions at the right time!
