also i see a lot of the issues that the brimhats deal w tie into a lot of trans issues today. like the banning of marking your own skin and transforming your own body, giving you complete bodily autonomy, is forbidden.
im not saying this to completely defend all of the brimhats tho bc a lot of the stuff they did included nonconsentually marking people.... the general concept of what theyre doing i vibe w tho
idk if this is just me digging too deep but the erasure of forbidden magic by the pointed caps in WHA really reminded me of the nazi book burning. like there were tons of spells that were used to heal people directly but all of those were lost with the minds of the people who got their minds wiped.
