An alcohol ink, painting of a tree shape and black with shades of yellow and orange that look like burning flame spots
Alcohol ink burning trees series
Going messy and abstract with alcohol ink this week
The altruist is always lending a hand, or tongue, to his neighbor. And surely subversive cat didn't mean for that to happen?
Saboteur cat is the change she wants to see in the world. Truth teller kitty always speaks truth to power.
In honor of all the ways that cats demonstrate resistance, solidarity and protest every day, this Purrotest Kitties scarf features four clever cat motifs.
I took a little island vacation with my kids and met this fabulous chicken. I think he might need to be featured in a pattern at some point.
Cant wait to see what it becomes!
Mood
I hope they at least tried to work with downtown before looking to move (unless I missed it in the article).
love the detail :)
Closeup of a scarf showing block print style details of a bird, flowers and sun with hash carving marks around them and a rustic stamped texture. The background of the scarf is bright sky blue, with dark green leaves, orange roots and flowers, a rusty red sun and black raven or crow.
The scarf is illustrated in block print or linocut style, with stamp texture details. It can be found at this link: evolationcreative.etsy.com/listing/1825...
There is also a purple version in my shop (3/3).
A silk scarf folded and draped on a rail in front of a brick wall. The scarf shows ravens or crows drawn in a Scandinavian style, with dandelion flowers, worms and a sun.
Dandelions shoot up and send off their seeds with deep roots underneath, and worms wriggle through the other side under a deep red sun on a sky blue background (2/3)
A woman holding up a large square scarf with black ravens in each corner illustrated in folk art style. In the center is a red sun, with a dandelion plant complete with leaves, roots and three flowers on the left and right sides. The top and bottom show four worms wiggling along waved dash marks. In the middle are eight floating dandelion seeds. The ravens are each carrying a twig, as if for a nest.
In honor of the unsung worms currently working to till our early spring gardens, I am highlighting my folk art raven scarf. It is an homage to slow growth and development: (1/3)
I have different background levels depending on how much concentration is required
high: classical music/silence
Moderate: other music
Low: podcast
Very low: audiobook
The site looks great and was easy to navigate and the rings are beautiful! A few questions that came up for me as I shopped: what do I do about sizing? does he do custom requests for a certain stone in my preferred shape/material? what is shipping like (to Europe)?
Silk scarf folded in half on a soft blue background. The scarf has two mauve pink jellyfish in each corner with luminous tentacles waving and thicker pink tentacles intertwined around each other as they swin. There is a thin gold swirling frame in each corner, and behind the jellyfish are twisted striped green grass blades. The far background of the scarf is very dark blue of the ocean with a coral pattern.
It’s almost Valentine’s Day, so I’m sharing my codependent jellyfish in love scarf design. It features pink jellyfish with intertwined bioluminescent tentacles, over a dark textured coral and seagrass background, with Art Nouveau corner frames.

A purple and pale pink patterned silk scarf in a circular rose tied on the band of a yellow grass sun hat
Did you know:
Scarves can be worn in lots of different ways?
This is a rose tied with my Antoni Gaudi inspired silk scarf design, wrapped on to a sun hat.
The ouroboros signifies rebirth, and cycles of change. I enjoy the movement of the design - tree branches cascading, snakes circling and intertwining, falling petals in the background. Taken as a whole, it is about growth, development, and starting over.

Happy Lunar New Year to all who celebrate! To help usher in the year of the snake I present to you my snake scarf design.
An ouroboros of yellow snakes encircles the center, surrounded by willow trees and more snakes, with a brass art nouveau style frame in each corner. (1 of 2)

Yes! I’ve realized I’m too controlling for some of the softer or wetter mediums, though I love looser styles on paper
These are great! Pastels were never a fit for me - something about the feel and how they move. But I love seeing what artists do with them. They have a different vibe than paint.
Thanks for sharing
Yet again it’s women being brave, making themselves a target to speak out against cruelty
In anticipation of Valentine’s Day, celebrating love of all kinds now more than ever ♥️ #valentinesday #love #loveislove #bloodyheart
Wow this is so compelling! The light, the posing, the colors and textures all echo the subject perfectly. It looks like a cross between a photo and a painting
She’s done! This silk scarf design came to me in a dream last weekend, and will be available on Etsy today just in time for Valentine’s Day

Black and white drawing of a woman’s hand, squeezing an anatomically correct heart with the words “at least his heart is in the right place” above
Making progress on this WIP Valentine’s Day themed silk scarf design. ♥️
Feels good to create

I just earned the Star Seller badge on my Etsy shop for the first time. The badge is for top notch customer service, reliable shipping and excellent reviews.
It’s so nice to have something tangible reflect the care that I show customers and the time I put into my art. Another small step forward.
This is so cool - how do you envision using/displaying these weaves?
