I’m Quintin, I’m a fantasy illustrator, professor, and art director— currently spending most of my time painting for Magic: the Gathering and really neat book projects! 🖤
Quick sketch I made a few week ago, I'm not fully sold on the pose/composition but I'm quite happy with the mood

Dragon posting !
This seems to be the conclusion of this post !
The funny thing is that it was my least favorite, but I think it's more linked to the time spent making it than anything else. I imagined this as a big and slpashy piece but sometime simpler is better.
I agree with you that 4 probably work best as a banner and 3 for smaller icon like the steam shop. So I'll probably end up finishing both and using them when needed.
The black and white ones are meant to be colored after but I wanted to focus on the composition so that's why they weren't colored.
While I really like the second one I'm not sure I'm good enough at those big scenes too manage to keep the focus on the main subject without pushing everything else in the background too much.
I'll probably do that. I just need to find a right balance and not spend too much time rendering all of them or I'll end up never finishing the game itself
two might be my favorite but I feel like a lot of people really prefer the graphic look of 3. Also in term of silouhette 2 is a bit more messy.
I'll probably end up finishing 2 and just using it for something else.
I really agree with you, I'm kind of hesitating since finishing one illustration takes a lot of time but I think I'll use 3 as the main banner and keep 4 to use it in game or for other marketing use.
Second is probably my favorite but third seems like to be the most like one and has a really strong silhouette so I think the 3rd is the one to choose
Noted ! This seems to be what most people think.
I'm kind of surprise by this but it seems like a bit of mystery works quite well and it reads well when small.
I feel like it represent the game a bit less but a lot of people seems to agree that it's the most striking so I feel like I'll go with this one
Hey, I'm working on a capsule art for the game I'm making and wanted to hear some opinions on the sketches I made.
I'm having a hard time choosing which one I should use
Low saturation drawing of a barn owl. The owl is looking to the right, and has a petals from a decaying sunflower around the back of it's head. The background of the image is dark.
A watercolour painting I did of a path winding off into the distance. The light is that of a hazy winter afternoon. Either sides of the path on the horizon are what looks like hills that form a valley, the sky colour on the right is a warm yellow sky as the sun dips behind the hill. The light is hazy, and suggests the time of day is in the afternoon, the sky colour on the left still has hints of blue. This is watercolour, then touched up with acrylic.
Gouache & water-soluble graphite on toned paper. This is a landscape painting I did of a wintery moor land. The hills are white with snow, and the sky is stormy and wintery. The saturation is quite low, the sky is blue grey.
Pencil drawing on moleskine of a cute seal, hints of snow falling in the background.
Happy Women’s Day 💘 😘 Élle :)

Ephemeral echo
Do you mind sharing what your rates would be for a game soundtrack ?
I'm kind of lost on that side and I have no idea if I have the budget to get a composer or if I should find preexisting music
Good idea, didn't though about that
Hey, Does anyone knows about where I could find ressources about bideo game music ?
I have been working on a solo game project for a while and I need to find music for the game and it's trailer and I don't really know where to look for composers or premade music and what prices to expect.
QRP with your sketch vs final!
If you see this post your bird art!
Thanks !
After seeing yours I really want to paint an owl in oil though, love the expressive brushwork you used
Post bird art!
A habitable wreck, built plank by plank.
This is a fragment of Labyrinth: a world I’m building in images, objects, and stories.
The boat will return. Somewhere else. At another height.
