LET. SPIRIT. AIRLINES. DIE.
(Said loud for the folks in the back)
We love you Prince
This sounds AMAZING. Listen now.
The most underrated record by one of the greatest bands of all time. I love love love F.C. Only Acabou Chorare is better
THIS. AI will kill the business of garbage Pop. But what is the opposite of AI? Organic, acoustic, improvised, live, and FREE. We may be about to enter into the golden age of harmolodics and other philosophies that celebrate real, organic musical explorations
NOW do Los Lobos, The Meters, Chic, Devo, Fishbone, Bad Brains, Sonic Youth, The Smiths, Bjork, the Pixies, Jane's, B-52s, Motorhead, INXS, Dick Dale, Living Colour, Alice, Crimson, LaBelle, and Weird Al, to name but a few of the many deserving artists who get SNUBBED year after year!
Normally I could care less about the RnR Hall of Fame, but this year's class hits different. Many oversights corrected, &very happy to see Fela Kuti & Celia Cruz acknowledged, as well as favs like Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Billy Idol, Sade, Luther, Wu-Tang, it's just a great group overall
Rest in peace Sid Kroft
More good news. We need all we can get!
All this technology... all this knowledge... and still... no edit button
Bye bye Orbán! I hope that while you're moving your stuff out that you get hit by a truck! #fuckfascism
In 2016, performing with Falu, I was honored to play the opening set for the amazing Asha Bhosle at the Wolftrap Filene Center in DC. Truly one of the great honors of my life. She had so many great songs, this one is my personal favorite. Rest in peace Asha Bhosle
Ugh! Deleting my post

Gorillaz with Sparks on Kimmel absolutely great
New Alabama Shakes song says what we're all feeling
Robert Plant & crew (including Matt Worley on Cuatro Puertorriqueño) playing RAMBLE ON on Colbert #gettheledout #arehashtagsstillathing
One of my fav bands in music today, LED by the Golden God himself, Robert Plant playing Higher Rock on Colbert
And don't miss the "Overtime" segment as well
I hate to give CBS any views right now, but - this 60 Minutes story on the NOLA Mardi Gras Indian tradition is really great and well worth your time

Max Roach, Bernard Purdie, Elvin Jones, Steve Gadd, Roy Haynes, Jack DeJohnette to name a few I've seen live
Just watched the moving documentary Ryuichi Sakamoto: Last Days on NHK. Trigger warning - this is a difficult watch, not just for fans, but for anyone dealing with grief or loss in their life. That said, I was very moved by it, even as my hero dealt with his illness and struggle. It's up until 4/11
"Loss, anger, and sadness are great motivators of creation," Ryuichi Sakamoto, 2021
See that? Completely flat!
Guitarist Bryan Vargas smiling ear to ear at the chance for a photo with his hero, drummer James Gadson who seems less enthused
James Gadson & me, NAMM show, January 2012, rest in peace
Extremely saddened at the loss of drummer James Gadson, a very serious contender for the greatest of all time. He played on countless hits and defined how we hear music. This musical moment of perfection was but one of them
