🌸 Happy #InternationalWomensDay! RICCF celebrates the strength, resilience, and impact of women everywhere—especially our amazing RICCF members and partners.
Research is clear: Child Tax Credits improve child well-being, reduce reports of child maltreatment, and help families meet basic needs like child care, housing, and food. It is sound policy that strengthens families and communities.
RICCF Board Member Darlene Allen testified before the House Finance Committee in support of key budget articles proposed by Governor Dan McKee.
Darlene voiced the Coalition’s strong support for including — and expanding — the proposed Child Tax Credit.

RICCF is proud to collaborate on this issue with The Economic Progress Institute and Rhode Island KIDS COUNT to help children and families thrive!
RICCF members joined together to consider gaps and needed improvements in critical areas of our state’s Children’s Behavioral Health System of Care. Together, we’re sharing our expertise and experience to enhance critical services for children, youth, and their families.
While the work ahead is challenging, our shared commitment gives us reason for optimism and hope as we turn to face 2026.

It’s time to turn the data into action — and make sure foster youth in RI have the same opportunities to succeed as their peers.
📉 In 2024, just 43% of Rhode Island’s foster youth graduated high school — the lowest rate in the state and a sharp drop from last year.
A new legislative study commission is taking on this crisis, but these kids can’t wait years for solutions.
