it’s the best part of the year!! ♥️

(which had been my most anticipated book of 2024). Such a good year of reading; I read so much that shaped my thoughts and perspectives in ways I couldn’t have anticipated. We’ll see if I fit in a few more before the end of the year, but I’m already looking forward to 2025’s list 💛

I was working on an essay about the Percy Jackson series and nostalgia, so I read a lot of Riordan in the first half of the year. Then I read a lot of Didion in the fall — just because. My favorite book of the year, though, was unsurprisingly @kellylink.bsky.social’s The Book of Love ♥️🌕

The stats: I read 34 books this year (including two zines — they count!!) which was more than last year but fewer than I would have liked. 59% of these were fiction, and 91% were new to me.

Reading Wrapped 2024! I could use StoryGraph for another site to do this, but for some reason it’s more satisfying to track and create by hand? Let’s jump in :-)
