More importantly….be the party people actually need and fucking act like it.
Indeed it is. It’s whether the US decides to go along or get left behind.
The patently obvious cadence of the “good news Fridays” (allowing the markets to finish crap weeks “up”) and the Sunday annoucements I am sure will eventually be documented for their market manipulation fraud. It will be a hoot.
The Illuminati is everywhere.
Mmmmm Puget
Did he though?!
"You're just voluntarily complying with this whimsical cosplay" -- holy shit, Tim Kaine is *demolishing* Russ Vought
The “transparency” of this administration is mindnumbing. The degree to which they feel compelled to tell us things we know are patently untrue and grossly misleading is offset by their complete lack of self-awareness and projection.
What were the successes (and failures—those are useful too) for that “fast track” [affordable]housing? (So we can replicate it in our own communities—we need a shared-successes mindset)
"There is no justification for a regressive system in which the super-rich contribute less than the rest of us," write @josephestiglitz.bsky.social, @gabrielzucman.bsky.social, and @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social.
I did some research to try and figure out when my death date would be if there had been no treatment for my cancer. I don't know why I assumed it would be some date in the future, but, in fact, I passed the middle of the "no treatment survival" bell curve more than a year ago. Thanks chemo.
Trump tries to stop this low-cost solar power, so electric grids have to go to expensive dirty fossil plants, raising consumer prices, by (PUNCHLINE) driving money from regular ratepayers to Trump’s big fossil fuel donors. But clean energy keeps winning!!
I suppose it’s not surprising that this administration would prefer the Catholic Church that just kept things quiet…like pedophilia
The ole double-dip…
What’s really scary about this memo is that it projects these changes to earth systems as emerging from increasing the amount of CO2 in the air to 500ppm, but we’re seeing them already at 430ppm CO2.
This reminds me very much Sting’s song Russians…
Here Comes the Flood….
The same week the NYTimes was devoting its significant resources to producing this ridiculous piece about Lauren Sanchez Bezos's call for rich people to not worry and be happy, Ryan Hass, an independent journalist in Oregon, was investigating this horrifying story about a death in an Amazon plant.
Trying to walk, bike, or take transit in nearly all US cities has been made to be a horrible experience for the last 100 years. It's time to pivot all policies to make driving the most tedious, expensive, inefficient pain in the ass going forward.
Staged. Staged a DoorDash delivery. Probably asked an underlying for the hundred bucks.
Half the time!?
Rock the eff on!
The Wayback Machine archive is, like Wikipedia, one of the last corners of the internet that hasn't been killed by greed & slop. That ... may not last long.
We need more locking infrastructure!
Seems to me a reckoning on the US military budget is in order. As a matter of fact I can think of some serious issues we could address for a sizable portion of that $1.5T being requested.
And my guy Crotchet got his ass handed to him. Oooof.
I hope she chooses to go ahead and show those folks she can stand without them and get the votes she needs which will have that DEM Establishment scramble
