A gray snowy day, with flecks of white scattered in the air--upper left of the vertical frame is a bright bold red bird feeder, a squirrel proof kind (but spoiler warning, not raccoon proof since they would later destroy this feeder). Center of frame is a dark-eyed junco almost literally hovering there the way a hummingbird would. Usually dark-eyed juncos are round, bulbous little fuzzbuckets, but when flying, this one looks stretched out, graceful even, gunmetal gray, its wing out, tails pert and pointed backward, eyes forward as they are cast diligently upon the prize of precious bird seed.
