Used Joy2Key to bind Alt+PrtScr to LB and it feels really good

A 'Dungeon RPG' is a first-person dungeon crawler, but a 「ダンジョンRPG」is just a gameplay-focused dungeoneering-over-plot RPG, and can be 2D. Language!

It kind of sucks rolling x0 or x1/3 on both EXP or Gold, but if you do, you can just pay 5 MP to ditch the battle. And I always got excited to see what would drop when I rolled Rare Item

Interesting mechanic: DQ Eternal precedes each battle with a slot machine that determines your EXP multiplier, gold multiplier, and item drop type for the battle; additionally, at the start of the battle, you have a suite of spells to resolve it instantly (with different rewards)

a few months ago I tried to play games from the first Freem! contest ('05) and they ran the gamut from 'barely worked' to 'didn't launch at all'. but of course anything using RPG Maker 2k(3) was trivial; just toss it in EasyRPG
