You’re arguing the moral right that gerrymandering is bad. AND gerrymandering is how elections are conducted. Even the current democratic caucus which has softened its positions to appeal to moderates in recent elections is willing to ban gerrymandering. Dems have to win for that to happen.

There was a federal bill to ban gerrymandering. Every democrat voted yes. Every republican voted no. The playing field is gerrymander.

We are talking about a timeline of the last 30 years or so. If policy reflected the danger, urgency, and financial loss that climate change presents us today AND as it was presented in the 90’s, Florida would be the East Coast California. Energy would be harvested in Florida and power the country.
Roll back the clock to 2000 when there was a person warning about the water table running for president and then looking outside and going, “gee I sure am surrounded by a lot of water table.” and then vote for that person in overwhelming numbers.
