When I see a new mental health professional and they ask, "what are some of your PTSD triggers," I usually go "uhhhhh" because there are so many potential triggers and I'm trying to think of which ones would be easiest to explain. This one requires a very long, complicated story.

I fucking hate PTSD. I am currently in a full on spiral because I saw Ty Pennington (slimy disgusting excuse for a human) on my TV screen.
That's it -- take away his Nobel Prize and make him sit in the corner and think about what he's done.
Yeah, several months ago I was posting a book recs guide for not HP basically, and a friend who LOVED HP messaged me on insta and was like "Wait what?" she's a p offline mom of young kids and she legit had no idea. Was about to start them on the series and decided not to when she found out.
Negligence is not nothing. In some instances, negligence is a crime. You don't get to wipe clean harm that you have caused by saying "it was an accident ๐คทโโ๏ธ."
"It was an accident ๐คทโโ๏ธ" does not, should not, absolve a person from taking responsibility for the result of said "accident." If one "accidentally" kills someone there should still be consequences. If your "accident" caused harm to another person, you can't just throw up your hands and say "oh well."
Baldwin probably won't even show up to work, anyway. They stopped inviting him to conventions because he would tell them he was coming and then just not show up. Year after year.

We went from "no AI slop pinky swear" to "Xbox is becoming Copilot" in like 2 weeks flat.
It's like they're having an internal competition to see how many ways they can force people to stop using Xbox. Double price of game pass. Hike console prices. Put the Copilot BS everyone hates on it.
ICYMI, the new paperbacks are in.

Fuck, quitting ballet is still one of the biggest regrets of my life.
TLDR is right. Are you trying to say that he DIDN'T write a crappy book called The Ocean at the End of the Lane? Because that's what my post was about, you silly bot.
My whole family put their lives on hold because the ballet needed me, a lowly toy soldier (with a featured, but not solo role). Because we had thousands of people coming to see the show in a small town, south GA theater. But nobody cares about ballet, I guess.
If nobody cares about ballet, why did I have to rent an apartment in between moves so I could finish 8 sold out showings of The Nutcracker when I wasn't even a soloist?

This would be a wonderful idea if I weren't allergic to both bananas and cinnamon. ๐
Tolkien's letter to Auden is brutal. I love it.
Surprised that I've only read one book on this list. I'm excited to add the rest to my to-read pile.
Okay, so I won't be reading that one. ๐
Omg, "Ocean at the End of the Lane" was the book that made me disavow Neil Gaiman long before his rape allegations came to light.
Nah -- if the previous work is still putting money in the bigot's pocket, it's still not okay to watch. I.e. sure, I guess you can watch your old VHS copy of Harry Potter with your family if you really want to. But if you watch HP while it's playing on TV, you're giving Rowling royalty money.
The man who signs the checks directly to the bigot doesn't get to talk about separating the art from the artist. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
My Little Pony may be my number one thing, but I'll boycott Hasbro at the drop of a hat if they're giving money to transphobic causes. So like... Bye Hasbro. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Who are these uneducated men talking over the paralympic opening ceremonies and why do we have to hear them say things like "two competing fractions" when we could just be enjoying the beautiful dancers? It feels insulting.
A challenge to a monstrously regressive Florida state law that makes it easier for books to be pulled from school libraries is making its way through a federal circuit court in Atlanta.

Putting this link here so I can come back and read it when my headache is gone. It's a really interesting perspective.

This is true -- if I get the postcards I'll probably end up framing each individual one and hanging them on the wall. (Maybe right in front of the door so everyone who visits will be sure to see them. ๐ค)
