If you notice a friend exhibiting any concerning signs – especially rapid worsening over hours – take them seriously.
A group of young children and an adult are sitting at a table, engaging in a counting activity. The setting appears to be a classroom. The text reads, "Help shape the future of classroom communication support! Share your views today." A yellow speech bubble with colorful lines is in the bottom left corner.

That’s really lovely to hear. When you study something for so long the key thing you want is for the work to be useful😊 we are still using consultation regularly in our work but have just advertised joint consultations (two EPs) again to see if there is appetite in our settings.
Humbled to see my earlier work developed so well, thank you for this Beth & Cathy ☺️
Another great paper on EP consultation from Beth Royle published today in Educational Psychology in Practice and available open access at tinyurl.com/e6za9hdj. Hopefully lots of stimulating conversations about training and consultation to follow #BlueSkyEPs #consultation
UK wins £500m in science grants from EU Horizon scheme after Brexit lockout - great to see some positive news 😊
There are now hundreds of inspirational examples of practice on the @openuni-rfp.bsky.social website. I've just spent a few minutes reading through a fantastic one about the importance of graphic novels from my former colleague @richardruddick.bsky.social. So many ideas! ourfp.org/eop/graphic-...
#edpsychs As part of our research on the DEdPsy course at UEL, colleagues and I are seeking participants for our research into EPs’ values and their impact on use of assessment tools. EPs working in the UK are eligible to take part and we would be so grateful! forms.office.com/e/kbDBmm9nWc
Great to be providing our PCP Training again this month. Two day training for SENCos and pastoral staff which will help support inclusive person centred approaches for children across the county #edpsychs
Thanks Carl. I think Deci & Ryan framework is helpful to unpack thinking on motivation but dichotomy never matched my experience with CyP; individual differences and changes over time within learning processes has good face validity. Thank you for sharing these papers😊
The latest Read for Empathy collection has been launched. As always, it's full of absolutely superb books, including graphic novels, poetry, picturebooks and non-fiction. The work @empathylabuk.bsky.social are doing is incredibly important. More information here: www.empathylab.uk/rfe
I've been running workshops for teachers on teaching poetry for about 40 years or more and I do at least one session a year on it where I teach at Goldsmiths University of London. We have a new course about to run at CLPE on poetry, people and places. Do join us!
Do you work in a role in which you need to support others with problem-solving/solution-finding? See below for details of CPD you may find helpful.
Online session for aspiring EPs next week. Bring all your questions 😊 #edpsychs
Some of our team write a letter for most times they are involved, for others it’s particularly for secondary students. With advices sometimes the psychological perspective is written as a letter to the child. I think they can provide really powerful messages when written directly, affirmations etc☺️
