It story sifts… Automagically? Will try to prototype in this later today. Thanks!

Soooo, my favourite team from the last few years are publishing a psychological horror game, published by the makers of the game that primarily has inspired my psychological horror game, in the same year I plan to release my title. Should I be excited? Or horrified? I’ll be both!!!
Engaging in dialogue with all stakeholders is what gets me through the day. I like to think of myself as a vast, safe harbour, and of them as little boats. If a stakeholder told me they didn't feel listened to, I think I'd have to go to hospital.
This was so invigorating, thank you for being brilliant.
A table covered in papers of different colors, some scribbled on, scissors, pencils, pens, meeples and dice, among other stuff.
Me and friends have been organizing a card game workshop during the game crafts festival in little Kristinehamn today and got to watch people fall in love with this wonky and weird craft of ours. Game Design is pretty when it’s happening.
A physical copy of the Commodore 64 game ”Little Computer People”. A hallmark of design.
One of the games I still reference in design chats is Little Computer People, it is proto-Sims, without almost all interactivity, and still - the AI builds personalities! No matter how primitive it is. And now I got to hype a physical copy. I’m going to start making these kinds of games.
Dennis, a curly lil’ person, leans on an archival shelf, while ten meters of shelf space filled with games extend behind them.
I’ve wanted to visit the Embracer Games Archive since it opened, and today I had the privilege to get a tour. Attached are pictures of the happiest lil’ guy, and games.
Var den tjock-Steffe som världen saknar!!!
Hey, are there examples of writers writing their game in their native language and then Localizing that? Translators in game dev vs books are very much focused on lowering cost for the former and high quality output in the latter, so would’nt be surprised if it’s hard to find a suitable service.
My first drink since January, my partner and kids are back home, and I’ve had an absolutely gorgeous week of design work. Time to bring out Undaunted: Stalingrad and once again prove who’s the real military genius in this family.
I feared as much, thank you for the invaluable work already done though.
The dissertation! Of course! I’ll revisit that, thanks!
Also, could one help you publish somehow? A patreon for Narrative legendars perhaps?
@stcymsn.bsky.social I am in sudden and dire need to know whether the combination of story trees and storylet structure described in Lumen was tested and led to pitfalls one should be aware of? It seems so promising! Sorry if there’s obvious follow up on this that I’ve failed to find.
What could be better than being able to walk again? Making the game I’ve obsessed about for two years! Prepare for the king of Rats to open his pawn store!!!
Right, Eurovision and Mello tend to remind me how grateful I am for having put 35 years of attention towards creating entertainment, and how happy I am for that decision when I see people tear up over, e.g. a song about sauna bathing.
Smash Into Pieces represent what I’ve coined ”Battlefield Rock”. The band look like they’re all in the art or production department at DICE, excluding the guy with the mask and helmet who I’d presume is a Narrative Designer.
A Teens are making me acutely aware of how much I appreciate a silver fox. They really should’ve revamped their choreography though, to stale. The ”Teens” look like they have joint problems.
Omg it begins.
What really drives me to more and more obsessively follow everything related to Eurovision and our national heats are the signs of unity, healing and redemption. What began as tears when the Croatian jury could give Serbia 12 points a decade after the wars is now a special interest.
”Felicia” might be the betting site favorite, and my personal favorite for that matter, but surely we can’t win Eurovision with what on a fundamental level comes off as last years ”We Will Rave”?!?
I do believe the answer to the great Eurovision riddle of the day might be sappy lyrics with a conga beat à la ”Vive L’amour”. It might get some of the popular vote. But is it beautiful enough for the jury votes? Probably not.
The Swedish population is engrossed in the puzzle that is: ”Which of these three acceptable songs would blow away our competitors and take the prize home again?”
Tonight, Sweden will decide our fate for the best show on Earth, Eurovision 2026. And I am hyyyyyped!!!
Kids are home, my back isn’t killing me anymore, and spring is here.
Obviously my heart is racing since I should be catching up on more than a month of lost work time.
Ooooh, ett av mina favoritdemos under nextfest. Satan vad bra grejer ni släppt sista åren!
I’m the kind of non binary person that likes looking like I do (bearded, colorful masc), and still feel friction towards male pronouns.
Playing Citizen Sleeper was such a pleasant respite since no one in that game really is gendered. A respite that made me relaxed, almost exposed. A gift of a game.
Omg. I’m less than a day from operation and will probably be able to walk again tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks to Citizen Sleeper, Paradise Killer, In Other Waters, Seance of Blake Manor and Caves of Qud for giving me something else to think about these weeks.
Just witnessed both kids, 7y & 10y, have 25 minutes of excited, giggly fun playing through the öoo demo. The level design is ingeniously well crafted.
Oh, played through Gone Home yesterday evening, and I can safely say that it still holds up and still is a tear jerker.
I am about to have walked 1000 steps today, and only half of the day has passed! Might be a new record in the making.
Last night I dreamt that I took a walk in the forest. That’s how herniated the disc in my lower back is.
