Absolutely delighted to share our preprint, using functional genomics to uncover a novel dependency in lymphoma that can overcome resistance to targeted therapy. Grateful to co-first author @jamesnolan.bsky.social and co-senior authors @conwayer1.bsky.social and @adrianbracken.bsky.social see👇

Catalytic inhibition of KAT6/KAT7 enhances the efficacy and overcomes primary and acquired resistance to Menin inhibitors in MLL leukaemia Understanding the molecular pathogenesis of MLL fusion oncoprotein (MLL-FP) leukaemia has spawned epigenetic therapies that have improved clinical outcomes in this often-incurable disease. Using genet...

Thrilled to share a wonderful collaboration with Scott Armstrong, Florian Perner & Shellaina Gordon - exciting times ahead!

The Groth lab @grothlab.bsky.social has also made the jump from X to Bluesky🤩! Please follow us for all things related to chromatin replication, epigenetic memory and (epi)genome stability in the context of mitotic cell division! We'll start on joining some relevant starter packs!

FDA approves revumenib for relapsed or refractory acute leukemia On November 15, 2024, the FDA approved revumenib (Revuforj, Syndax Pharmaceuticals, Inc.) for relapsed or refractory acute leukemia with a KMT2A translocation.

This is amazing. Menin inhibitors FDA approved! Such a quick turnaround from drug discovery, to molecular mechanisms and on to clinical trials showing efficacy and favourable safety profile.

A huge win for the field of epigenetic targeted drugs! Kudos to all involved.

Transient histone deacetylase inhibition induces cellular memory of gene expression and three-dimensional genome folding Epigenetic memory enables the stable propagation of gene expression patterns in response to transient developmental and environmental stimuli. Although three-dimensional (3D) organisation is emerging ...

Exciting weekend read from G Cavailli's lab, on how histone acetylation turnover shapes 3D genome folding and transcriptional memory

How does PRC1 counteract transcription?

See this preview from @adrianbracken.bsky.social and I on an exciting new study from @robklose.bsky.social lab where they show ncPRC1 blocks the early stages of transcription.

Mature B-cell neoplasms (overview)

Some Irish centres have used the MLL lab in Munich. If you download the request form you will see the “Lymphoid neoplasms” panel under the molecular genetics section which contains many of the relevant genes.

Absolutely brilliant film making from Éanna Mac Cana, a fascinating tale of Denis Burkitt, an Irish surgeon who discovered and characterised Burkitt lymphoma, and Éanna’s own experience with the disease #Scienceweek #AICRI

Just moved from Twitter. Hoping to re-engage with all the lovely scientists I used to see on my feed before it was corrupted by nonsense!
