Tataru Week #GPose Thread

Day 1: First Meeting / Light

Who knew our first meeting was by chance, so very, very long ago...

"A smiling pale dot;
a light passing by my door
your touch, my summer"

Tataru gripping her hat tightly in her hands, looking up at the moon in Old Sharlayan. The lighting is blue and low, focusing solely on the stars and the moon above as Tataru sits on the bottom left corner of frame.

Tataru is seen crying as she looks up at the moon from below, gripping her hat timidly.

Trazellie in full white Scaeven armor battling against Zodiark, a juxtaposition of Tataru hoping and Trazellie fighting for all of life.

Day 2: Moon / Hats

The moon terrifies me. Not for what it brings, but what it very nearly took away from me.

"Our changing of hats,
long nights of never knowing;
longer tear drops fall"

Trazellie is seen tilting her head back for a massive bite of the burger in her hands. Krile, holding a coffee cup, looks at Trazellie in utter bewilderment as Tataru shares a laugh at her loved one's antics.

Day 3: Family / Nourishment

You eat enough for the entire island!

"laughter reaps the sowed;
the joy of a family found,
and bliss; you and I"

Tataru is seen hugging and kissing the forehead of a weeping Trazellie. Trazellie is seen without a top, no doubt suffering from body dysphoria as a result of her scarring. Tataru cups her face gently and smiles warmly at her, comforting her.

Day 4: Monster / Knight

You are no monster, Trazellie.

Tataru looks up from her desk at a large portrait of Haurchefant, whose presence is felt long after his absence.

Day 5: Party / Paperwork

Even the paperwork feels insurmountable when you're gone.

Tataru is holding the hand of a battered and beaten Trazellie, who is grinning softly at Tataru despite the circumstances.

Day 6: Emotions / Linkpearl

It's hard for me to keep my emotions under control when the only time I see you, it's when I nearly lose you.

your voice, a ghostly comfort;
a resolving mist"

Tataru is seen peering out towards the skies while standing in the ocean at the Island Sanctuary. Beyond the black storm clouds, a streak of white is seen, heralding the end of the storm.

Day 7: Future / Promise

Just as the storm parts, I know that you'll stand with me in the future. A sky radiant and so free.

"Promise me, my love,
When I fade like the summer
That your smile stays"

Tataru sits next to Holly, gazing up at the stars as Trazellie and Yoshio are seen counting the stars and sharing notes about them.

Day 8: Tataru Day

I'll be right beside you, forever and always. Come the darkest of nights, or the bleakest of days... I'm right where I need to be.

Bathed in spotlight and a shower of rose petals, Tataru regards a cheering audience (us) gleefully with a trophy in hand, her reward for just being her.

She turns to look just offstage, where her biggest fans are standing; Trazellie in a dapper suit pumping a fist in the air, Yoshio in a snazzy looking vest clapping, Johnny in a very handsome jacket also clapping, and Holly in a pretty dress holding a bouquet.

Tataru bows, as captions appear around her. Give her a hand, folks! Happy Tataru Week! (And here's to many more.) It's been an honor appreciating her with all of you.

After the Final Days delayed their wedding plans, Johnny and Tataru put on a grand ceremony in Ul'dah to make up for it. It had an unmatched guest list and was quite eventful, the whole affair making for a perfect start to their future together!

At the boarding platform to the Ragnarok, a scene is shown of Tataru, playfully wagging a finger at someone (implied to be Holly). Tataru: "Before you go! I've got something for you. It'll bring you good luck, but you can only borrow it, alright sweetheart?"

Having removed her hat, Tataru holds it up. Her now worried eyes betray the meaning of this seemingly playful gesture, and tears bud at their corners. Tataru: "Because...i-if you only borrow it...that means you promise to bring it back, right...?"

They've said all they need to say to each other in the days leading up to this moment; wordlessly, Holly reaches out to take the offering. Both of their faces are just out of sight, preventing the viewer from sharing the last look they exchange with each other.

Holly, now sporting Tataru's chapeau as a vow to return from the depths of space, departs in lockstep with the other Scions to board the Ragnarok. Tataru can only helplessly watch from behind, oblivious to how much her faith means to her comrades. Tataru: "...and you never break a promise."

More than even the world's despair, and its call for brave heroes to save it from its Final Days, it was that promise that burned bright in Holly as she rocketed off to Ultima Thule.
