Round 2, Game 3. Watching from Cupertino. #Silvertips
A Commodore 64 hooked up to a red TV. The game Nixy is on the screen. A matching beige joystick sits in front of a LCD flat panel display that is also showing the same image of the game.
Starting to feel more back-in-the-day with a CRT.
Best way to take it in is to have a high-end pair of headphones with good ANC.
Then lay on your back in the middle of a food court. Not too close to the Sbarro and just far enough from the Mrs. Fields.
Close your eyes and take it in...

Happy breakfast club day! The movie I can recite the script for, in every scene.
I had been using a spare joystiq from a very old Atari Flashback setup. I took the gamble and grabbed a Hyperkin Trooper to replace it.
So far -- really good. Loving it with a new game I found over the weekend -- Rogue64
This is with the new Commodore 64 Ultimate that released at the end of last year with the resurrection of Commodore as a company.
All this is doable on OG hardware — but will take more of a hardware investment to create wifi access, modern display support, etc.
Would be excellent to see that land!
If you have a 64 Ultimate, it’s all fairly straightforward and a lot of detail is in the manual on configuration for networking.
If you have an OG — doable but requires some updated peripherals to act as gateways to old and new.
I have two OG breadbins that I hope to update similarly.
Well, the wife said it needs to go into the dining room as soon as I clean up my Legos.
…I guess that feels like 1982 all over again as well. :)
