Best way to take it in is to have a high-end pair of headphones with good ANC.

Then lay on your back in the middle of a food court. Not too close to the Sbarro and just far enough from the Mrs. Fields.

Close your eyes and take it in...

Commodore 64 Ultimate with an Atari wireless gamepad and a Hyperkin Trooper joystick

The quest for controllers continues. Wireless gamepad seems to work exceptionally well.

I had been using a spare joystiq from a very old Atari Flashback setup. I took the gamble and grabbed a Hyperkin Trooper to replace it.

So far -- really good. Loving it with a new game I found over the weekend -- Rogue64

This is with the new Commodore 64 Ultimate that released at the end of last year with the resurrection of Commodore as a company.

All this is doable on OG hardware — but will take more of a hardware investment to create wifi access, modern display support, etc.

Would be excellent to see that land!

If you have a 64 Ultimate, it’s all fairly straightforward and a lot of detail is in the manual on configuration for networking.

If you have an OG — doable but requires some updated peripherals to act as gateways to old and new.

I have two OG breadbins that I hope to update similarly.

Well, the wife said it needs to go into the dining room as soon as I clean up my Legos.

…I guess that feels like 1982 all over again as well. :)

Home | Commodore Honouring the past. Innovating the future. This is the first real Commodore computer in over 30 years, and it's picked up a few new tricks.

This is a new Commodore 64 Ultimate- so getting online, hooking up to current display technology, etc….is quite easy but still retains the bit-for-bit compatibility (and speed) as an OG. Including plugging in old peripherals to mix with the new.
