Months to wait until I saw them at the Royal Court Liverpool. That is still my favourite REM song.

I’d love to go back and relive that tour again.
Gangs organised by that notorious "Wizard" at Alderley Edge.
Not my ward, thankfully. I’ve received three or four postal electoral communications from Reform. Extraordinary for a Borough Council election. Who’s paying for it all?
XTC at the Mayfair, I never got to see them play and I loved the Mayfair. After that, pretty much every other gig would be on my list...
Brilliant album. Kirwan was such loss when he quit.
One of the very few singles I still have (somewhere…)
Was that livery part of a marketing tie-in with Pacers spearmint chews?
High Noon Hymns is giving the Long Ryders their best reviews since the 1980s! 😳 Take two minutes and watch this clip, please, and hear the reason why. (Touring starts in April.)
Buzzcocks at Hanley, although it is a school night and I am only 11…
Bought a second hand original cassette copy in a charity shop. Played it until all the oxide had dropped off.
That’s disappointing, I always assumed it was named after the lead singer of Judas Priest owing to the huge volume of chrome and leather polish he bought there.
I’m afraid I’ve been guilty of that with my late father. You have my sympathy and apologies!
The only A&E I’ve ever attended as a patient was the Lister when I was knocked off my bike by a tiny faun. They were very good but you might be there some time.
Beach with discarded yellow plastic bag and Easter bunny graphic; asks to keep Hastings tidy and take rubbish home.
Help keep our town tidy this bank holiday weekend. Please bin your litter or take it home with you.
You can easily report any litter you see to us using My Hastings: https://my.hastings.gov.uk/ You can also report full litter bins so they can be emptied.
None, probably, sometimes. Take the aternoon off!
Well deserved, it's brilliant.
I used to live in Quarry Hill and could recognise that house just from the fascia you can see above that high hedge.
The coastline from Sunderland all the way to South Shields is stunning.
I’d be much more likely to play Red Barchetta on my Spectrum…
Farewell is still my favourite Rush album. I hardly ever listen to side one of Hemispheres, it’s probably my least favourite Rush track of all. I love side two though.
Wearing a tin hat will protect you from Herring Gulls and Teapots.
High Wickham is the road in Hastings that leads to the East Hill. You wish you lived there!
I had completely forgotton the Anvil were on that bill. Digging out Metal on Metal now!
I used to spend all my holiday pocket money in that one second-hand record shop. Oh and COYH!
The Yes Album with price label for £1.50
Hopefully you won’t have to go to this kind of extreme expense to replace it.
Field of Crows I liked pretty much from the start, but they are probably the two albums I return to least.
Dave Davies, Danny Kirwan and Martin Barre.
Anyone mind if I turn this one up?
Back to the drawing board with the Mae West life jacket!
