Oof, yes. I have had very similar conversations with many of the less stable public library patrons who come to us for help.

A few of the 30+ cats we’re scrambling to care for when someone lost housing.
We’re working with Homeward Bound and Central Vermont Humane Society to find spots. They (and many more) should be ready for adoption soon.

Me holding a copy of The Reformatory by Tananarive Due: The cover shows an ominous shack.

The Reformatory by @tananarivedue.bsky.social
One of the easiest 5-stars I’ve given. Systemic racism, abuse, ghosts and a very brave boy and his sister collide in this fantastic read

Cluster of hyacinths buds poking up from the ground
Yellow daffodils a few days away from blooming
White and pale purple crocuses at the base of a lichen-covered tree.
A few bright spots in the garden finally. #gardening #northeastgardens
Livin on a Prayer by Bon Jovi. I think because I just don't want to relive 6th grade again.
Planted some peas (and also sweet pea flowers) because my great-grandfather always said to plant them on Good Friday and it could be Good Friday if Easter was earlier this year. I love fresh peas from the garden. #gardening
Tulip if those leaves are as thick as they look. If you have deer, you won't need to worry about it for long. 😄
He just wants to make sure it's fresh! Also it's important he sees you do it because it's his job to monitor your actions and make sure you perform them at the proper time and in the proper way.
Front yard with heavy dusting of snow on the grass and garden area with evergreen bush but no flowers yet.

If your writing didn’t matter, they wouldn’t be going after our books and our stories and desperately trying to rewrite them and/or destroy them.
Language is power.
It may feel weird or somehow improper to talk about your art or your writing, but we need it. It can’t be wall-to-wall nightmare all the time. Art is both counterweight and context. It’s escape and enlightenment and a mirror of our own exasperation. We need it. We NEED it. Keep showing us.

Just pajama bottom it to the weekend. Anything goes.
So last year we bought a seasonal camp that needs a ton of work (think mold) & it's been pretty overwhelming, tbh. BUT yesterday I realized it means my whole family can switch our voter registration to the camp address & vote against whatever Republican tries to replace Stefanik.
Yeah I just didn't see it the first time because I didn't scroll down after adding the pics
Ah, I see it. It requires scrolling 😁
How? I am so new here
Guess my first post should be my family
