One of the weirdest types of grief is losing a friend who’s still alive. There’s no funeral, no closure. Just the slow realization that someone who knew you for years can’t relate to you anymore. I wrote a longer reflection about friendship breakups, self-doubt, and growing apart on my tumblr.
