Karp/Palantir translation from @theverge.com: ‘“Soft power’ and ‘ethics’ are beta shit for Broadway shows and Dario Amodei. Hear that, Pete Hegseth? We’re warriors — pay up.”

Dudes. As a society we taught young women to walk with keys between their fingers in dark parking lots and to carry pepper spray in their purse.
So yes. I’m asking you to be responsible for the actions of other men. After all, that’s what you’ve asked of women for centuries.
It’s your turn.
Anyone know whether today is a ‘ceasefire’ day or a ‘destroy your civilisation’ day yet?
Donald Trump wanted a commemorative stamp with his face on it but the focus group said 65% of Americans would spit on the front side and the other 35% would lick the backside.
Notice how Christian nationalists suddenly believe in the separation of church and state when Bishop Mariann Budde asks the president to be merciful, when the Pope asks the president to be peaceful, and when anyone suggests that the government should take better care of the poor.
4/10 of your neighbors, fellow commuters, and compatriots think everything is going just fine.
Amendment, Comandment…let’s call the whole thing off.

Aspirational and beautiful. A simple wake up call. Each of them gave the most beautiful remarks. Such impressive humans. The best of us.
Sometimes the truth escapes like a cat out that door you thought was closed.
The Flying THRONE (dang, need that edit function!)
Maybe a casino reference is most accurate: Trump overplayed his hand in Iran and may have hastened the end of his presidency with a “strait” flush.
The thing kinda writes itself. Trump steaks. Gilded thrones. Crashing eagles. A bit too on the nose and not the least bit subtle (appropriately). Anyway, will anyone rescue Trump? Or will we, instead, be rescued from him?
As the eagles tried to reach the meat they caused the throne to fly. The craft flew the king all the way to China, where the eagles grew tired and the craft crashed. In this story, the King was rescued.
It was made of wood and gold and he attached specially trained eagles. Pieces of meat were attached at the top of each pole and the ravenous eagles were chained to the feet.
The Flying was a legendary eagle-propelled craft built by Kay Kāvus, used for flying the king all the way to China.
According to the Shāhnāmeh, Kāvus had a flying craft made consisting of a throne to the corners of which were attached four long poles pointing upward.
There are some ancient Persian stories that feel relevant (thanks, Wikipedia and Claude). From the Shāhnāmeh, a 10th-century Persian epic, this one feels a bit too on point.
I was wondering about a Persian equivalent to the notion of a pyrrhic victory as it relates to Trump.
Yeah, but surely that’s not as bad as Joe Biden saying “We finally beat Medicare!” SMH on all of this.
Let’s forgive all the times we thought folks *should* have acted to stop Trump (and it’s a long list that got us here). Let’s embrace those who are ready now, once and for all, to rid us of this insanity. If Cabinet won’t, do it, Congress, get to DC and reclaim your constitutional power.
Do people really not think to ask Google (or phone a friend) before posing these questions to the world?
Are we good with this, Congress? Cabinet? If you don’t know, take 2 mins to ask your fave search engine or AI tool about Iran/Persia’s contribs to the world. Per Claude: “Its influence is present in ways most people encounter daily without realizing the source.#Article1 #Article25

For sure. But if he has any aspiration to be president, this is his shot.
The Iranians can probably take comfort in the fact that Trump has never successfully executed an infrastructure week.
Vance and his bankers/backers need to pressure cabinet to invoke the 25th. (And, yes, I get that that means we have a President Vance…but this has to end.)
