it's either Reach or Requiem. i'm personally leaning more towards Requiem, due to the lack of Reach's moons, as well as this first look at requiem back in Halo 3's legendary ending looking fairly similar.

I think its supposed to be an abstract design. Its the curve of a Halo ring AND the silhouette of a planet which could resemble requiem.

Its a symbol of the journey the MCC takes you on-The chief's journey from Halo to Requiem

Has there ever been any official reference to what the planet shown in the Halo MCC main menu backdrop is? I always assumed it was Requiem.
