Yup exactly! The snowball effect is real, but that does make it hard to measure all the benefit from the ads.
I'm paying about $.30 per wishlist, which assuming at least 10% convert at 10$, then that is a net of $.70.
Some games are harder / easier to market though. I always design my games to be easy to visually market. Makes everything much easier.
I am running $5 a day worth of Reddit ads. I did some Tiktok videos earlier on, but they have lost all momentum.
I like to do promotions in bursts, as sort of a means to take a small break from developing.
