No forcing! If she becomes pregnant the lamb will stay with her until it’s at least 6 months of age. Ram lambs become fertile at 6 months, so he would need to be separated.

Here’s Magnolia, today’s sheep of the day! Magnolia and I are headed out on the road bright and early tomorrow morning as she has a date with a ram! With any luck, she will be a first time mom this fall. 🤞❤️🐑❤️ Wish her luck! 🍀 #merinosheep #sheepfarm

Our sheep of the day is Martha, twin sister of Mary our last sheep of the day! Martha is just as sweet as her sister, but a tad bit shy. She too loves a good chin scratch after her sister has had her turn. 🥰 I can tell the two sisters apart by the little spots on Martha’s nose. #merino #yarnfarm
