forgot to say I finished all of my altar jars, I'm just adding the final touches by melting themed candles to seal the lids. they're not Perfect or expertly made, but they're made by me with care & intention so I think that means more

my first protection spell jar, primarily featuring the fur of my dog who passed in 2022. there are other personal ingredients involved. a candle is burning to seal the lid with wax
a closer look at the spell jar. you can't clearly see the inside, as it's mostly fur, but there's a heart shaped crystal at the center alongside some clear & rose quartz pieces

I made a protection spell jar & I incorporated some of my baby's fur that I've had in a lil bag since she passed. gonna keep me safe even when she's not here anymore

i am now Officially Broke for the remainder of the year but I managed to snag myself a deck from the hades supergiant zine 😭 they were fully out of stock & no longer going to be printed, but I sent them an email & they offered me a spare. AAHHH. I feel so insanely lucky

a tarot card, the chariot, featuring the demonic entity Andras from Travic McHenry's demon tarot deck. Based on the Ars Goetia / Lesser Key of Solomon. The image is of a humanoid body with large wings and the head of an owl, wielding a sword and riding on the back of a wolf. The card is white, but it features a bright red blood splatter across the surface. Binding sigils cover the card, with the warning words "he can kill the master, the servant and all assistants" marked in the bottom right corner.
this deck is sooo beautiful but this Single card in the entire deck being the only one with a blood splatter is so 🧍🏼♂️

there's a very specifically themed deck centered around a huge interest of mine that I'm dying to get, but am also. rightfully frightened by. I would be just as respectful & careful with it as any other deck, but it makes my heart race a little.
my glass altar jars arrived today, so now I just have to wait for the components to arrive too and I can begin putting them together 🫶🏼 they're a gorgeous shape & much bigger than I expected, which I really like.
went shopping with a friend after class & found an INSANELY gorgeous deck in a book store. almost succumbed to the impulsive Urges despite the price but I found it on ebay instead 🫶🏼

fuck it we ball. it's cheaper to make my own altar jars than to buy them from etsy sellers because there's no one local to me. for the price of one single etsy jar, I've ordered items for all four I want to make. maybe they won't look perfect but it'll be handmade with love & care by me

I really want to put together a decent altar when I can but the things that resonate with me the most in terms of what I can safely & effeciently display in my small space ARE SOOO expensive coming from america to the uk. I could probably only invest in 1 every couple of months

IM TRYING NOT TO BE EMBARRASSED and that's the worst part!! everytime I open up to someone, I preface it by saying "it's ok to laugh at me!" as if that'll lessen any ridicule aimed at me. I hate how self conscious I feel because my change in beliefs is very. Different for me. augh
the thing that's come as most surprising to me in relation to all of this is deity work. I've always loved reading into & researching pantheons, but it was never really My avenue. yet that's completely changed recently. it'd be very cool to know if anyone else connects with that too & in what way
I'm not experienced at all so I've been taking my personal readings with a grain of salt, but I've also been reaching out to much more experienced practioners to see if they Do have merit and the results are so, so interesting. they've been fully confirming my thoughts and it's. a lot to think about
