If Jesus had focused more on kitchen table issues and less on unpopular outcasts like lepers and prostitutes, he might have won more support from white working-class Judeans.

There is no excuse for downplaying or eliding the insanity of Trump’s morning post. It is the most unhinged public comment by a president in US history and should be reported and remarked upon as such.

All of this is happening because Republicans in Congress, on the Supreme Court, and in the administration have enabled Trump through thousands of prior crimes including a coup, and because they continue to enable him now.
