Two halves of the same coin mad that they're not face up. I see these complaints as an intelligence/maturity problem, because if they had any they'd either accept its the characterization the creator wants to use and go with it or stop watching.
A carnival dentist mascot tries to make friends and receive validation for its existence but can't recognize that it's efforts to fit in aren't immediately accepted by people who have zero reason to love it unconditionally.
Also, there's a therapy session every episode.
It's interesting how there's this natural pruning process around the show. Over time, you see the fans of it sort of catalyze into the "genuine" fans and everyone else leaves because it didn't adhere to their headcanons.
