One of the most intellectually, spiritually, & emotionally fascinating stories I've ever read on the subject of coming out to a deeply religious parent. Highlighting a sometimes fraught pathway w compassion, it offers a hope-filled example of how we can come together when anchored by love 🙏❤️🏳️‍🌈

as a preacher’s kid, i was really really moved by this. seeing his father look inward to question what his love for Christ meant while finding out that that love means love for ALL was a really familiar journey. beautifully written.

Opinion | How My Dad Reconciled His God and His Gay Son How did my dad go from hating homosexuality to imploding his church by embracing me? His journal entries show how he changed his mind.

Today I am so grateful to get to help tell part of his story.
