Me: How is it possible for my inbox to only have three emails in it? How?!?!
Answer: The rest are in subfolders. Which I somehow forgot.

Anyway here’s a thing I made with own two human hands 🧶🪡 #embroidery #stumpwork
Ah, plumbing leaks. Always such nice surprises.
They can just... come inside your apartment willy-nilly and do this kind of thing? 😵💫
I finally had to replace mine last year, and the new one? Doesn't have a headphone jack. JFC, why.
NEW: A new pre-print study offers the first causal evidence that outsourcing reasoning tasks to AI can rapidly erode users' independent performance AND their will to persist despite difficulty.
"People’s persistence drops... they’re also not willing to try without AI.”

This.
Reading comprehension? I don't know her.
You know what the worst thing was? That argument was in reply to me saying that there might be legal implications in using AI to generate code and that we should get the company's policy to fucking protect our own backs. That doesn't invite a debate on AI ethics, it invites an email to legal.
I work in tech. Guess how receptive people are to the idea that we might want to be a little bit critical of AI and the idea that it's always going to improve performance and quality?
(Hint: their ethical arguments for AI use are on the level of "everyone else uses it". And I'm quoting verbatim.)
For some inexplicable reason I read that at first as "vintage LEATHER jacket with intense puff sleeves" and was like 👀👀👀
Finnish government: "The effect is small since according to research it mostly applies to women..."
Life hacks by me 🤦♀️
I didn't used to like pasta. Then I started buying better-quality pasta, and now I like it.
Secret to good pasta: good pasta?
"we have received a confirmation of your order" have you, by god
You know those helpful chatbots that websites like to use? "Welcome to site X, how can I help?" I want them to die.
Also the "subscribe to our mailing list" pop-ups that you need to click away every fucking time before you can get to the site? Those can die in a fire, too.
Yeah, Finnish doesn't really have pitch accent the way Swedish does. It does have intonation, though, despite rumours to the contrary :P
And then there's whatever the heck it is that we do to Swedish pronunciation. Which is frankly one of the best parts of learning Swedish. English? Can't pronounce her. Swedish? Just sound exceedingly Finnish, it's fine, you're speaking finlandssvenska.
Well, if Imayoshi really thought he could do it without getting attached...
I have such fond memories of bratty sub!Aomine. Maybe a reread is in order...
Yoko Tsuno was in fact my fave BD growing up. Still is. I even read some in French at some point, just because there were no Finnish translations of them (yet). :D
1) My French isn't quite good enough to read Astérix in the original.
2) It's been far too long since I regularly read BDs. As in, at least 25 years. What's up with that?

Oh fuck this shit.
Totally unrelatedly, I'm in the middle of reading 1100 pages' worth of short fiction by Chekhov.
The best times to work: 7am and the summer holiday season.

I've never been a blogger. This made me want to be one.
It would've done them good.
Excel is so freaking helpful that it's absolutely impossible to use.
Only, the translation is completely fucked up. "Suomennos" does not mean "translation". It means "translation into Finnish".
But translation is easy, right? Anyone and anything can do it.
