If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

So, what had been free TV will now be $20 per month? That doesn't sound like great news to me.

Clinton is insightful, as usual.
Since Reagan, the GOP has worked to increase citizens' cynicism about government, and then campaigned against government.
Now, under Trump, the GOP is working to increase citizens' cynicism about democracy, and then campaigning against democracy.

Boomers say it takes $100k a year to be financially successful, Gen Z says it takes $600k But Gen Z workers want a lot more than that to feel comfortable.

1/ This says a lot about how attitudes have shifted. Capitalism is the new religion. I see this in the high school juniors and seniors that I teach. They are obsessed with getting into the best tier-one universities and majoring in what will lead them to the highest-paying careers. shorturl.at/iinOz

My father came to the US through Ellis Island, with his poverty-stricken family. He died with six successful kids and a four- bedroom, three-bath house on 5 acres. This country was everything to him.

I'm glad he never saw what we've become.

The Biggest Economic Lies We’re Told | Robert Reich Just a thought: what if we stopped measuring the economy by the state of the stock market and started measuring it based on how many people are housed and cl...

Economic metrics like job growth, the stock market, and GDP don't give us the entire picture of how our economy is doing or who is actually doing well.

Want to measure economic success? Go to the kitchen tables of America.

The concentration of wealth in the hands of an elite few isn't just bad for our economy. It's corrosive to our democracy.

When the wealthy and well-connected control our political system, the American people don't have a voice.

The result is demagoguery and corruption.

Christians may think this because Genesis 1:26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

The sneaky feeling that something like this had has been gnawing at me for the last two weeks. I don’t know that this article proves the assertion, but I invite you to read it and tell me what you think.

That is eye-opening, for sure. It definitely doesn't prove the assertion, but it does establish that this should be looked at further, very soon. My guess is that those inquiries will be blocked at every turn and go nowhere, sadly.

Trump's known for creating absurd situations to divert attention. Gaetz for A.G. might be such a diversion. It's not that he wouldn't like to see him confirmed, but he knows that's unlikely. But if the Senate refuses Gaetz, other nominees' chances go up because too many denials would be a bad look.
