i dunno, my favourite parts of exodus were in novosibirsk but i feel the immersive grounded approach always gave good contrast to when the game finally decided to bring the dark ones back.
also the books just do the supernatural thing way better than the games
gave me big leon returning to raccoon city vibes. Happy artyom is enjoying his retirement at lake baikal, exodus felt like a fitting end for his journey so i'm glad they didn't dredge him back for "one more adventure"
