Ai will cost more than paying people a living wage. If they actually thought ubi was a solution then it would be implemented now. We'd see that raising quality of life for people has a huge impact on people's motivation. Not that everything is about productivity but that their premise is flawed.

As far as ai goes though, it only gets worse the more it trains on its own output. And the more ai replaces artists and authors the less input there is for it and the more it eats its own tail. It's a failing proposition from the start.

I am a fan of ubi, however it is only as functional as the rest of the economy. It basically has to be instituted with a whole lot of stipulations that make it, essentially, a right to living wage despite status.

It was an aha moment for young adult me to see that the people I grew up around were actually being really shitty to her over things that didn't matter and weren't a moral failing on her part.
Especially when there were real problems to be addressed.

The first trans person I ever met was one of my close friends parents and she was treated horribly and everyone said she was so awful because she was trans... And then I grew up and my friend reconnected with her and I realized that she is a horrible person and it has nothing to do with being trans
