💬 John Philpin I think this is pretty much the only thing I came across today which is worth reading … 🔗 Sometimes powerful people just do dumb shit There’s a particular kind of person who can’t accept that story at face value, and you’ve met them. I am absolutely sure of it. They show up in every comment section and reply thread where someone powerful does something that looks, on its face, like a mistake - and their argument always runs the same way: you don’t understand, this is actually part of a larger plan, there’s a strategy here that you and I can’t see because we’re not operating at that anointed and elevated level… They’re the 4D chess crowd.

- Brad Enslen Thoughts on house floor plans: I don’t like open plan floor plans. When you have individual, distinct, rooms it allows you to make a dramatic entrance at each room empty or not. (BTW cats instinctively understand this.) Old Hollywood understood this. With open plan, meh, no drama, no entrance.

💬 John Philpin I did not expect to see (I wont say ‘read’) an article called 🔗 Jimi Hendrix’s Analog Wizardry Explained in an IEEE site when I ‘feed perused’ this morning - but it does connect. Hendrix didn’t speak in decibels and ohm values, but he collaborated with engineers who did—Mayer and Kramer—and iterated fast as a systems engineer. Reframing Hendrix as an engineer doesn’t diminish the art.

💬 John Philpin I do watch Jason - he’s another Liam in many ways - same character - same principles - same story - but make it entertaining. He usually delivers. But this little piece of knowledge I did not know. 🔗 Shelter (2026) | Brandon’s Journal Jason Statham is arguably the most reliable actor in Hollywood. He has at least one new movie out ever year and it’s always released theatrically. He actually holds the record for having over fifty live-action theatrical releases with no direct to DVD/streaming/VOD releases, which is impressive as hell.

I need to move to something else that is not Adobe or Documentum and release - I suspect - gigabytes of bloatware that I have always known is floating around the drive somewhere.

💬 John Philpin Morning Claude Can you look through all of our conversations and across all projects and give me an action list of projects that we have started but are not yet complete. In a seperate list - and reading between the lines - are there some project possibilities that we have not yet picked up on that could make sense and then present me with a full Markdown doc that I can review.
