I haven't been doing that great with pretty much everything, At the moment I'm typing this I'm almost without money in my bank. At the end of 2023 I lost my job by being forced to resign so I wouldn't get any benefits. Fortunately I had some money that would allow me to help with stuff in my current home. Unfortunately, as time passed, things didn't get any better with money running out and both my physical and mental health quickly deteriorating from living on edge due to living and still dealing with bigoted people who would do harm to me if they know I'm trans. That's why I set up a Ko-Fi page to get some money for moving whenever I'd find a job. Since then I got some nice help support from friends and siblings. I still got the money on my account but I feel bad on using it for things that are not the reason to be used for (The money is saved for paying stuff when I'd find a space). Now at this point I'm okay for at best 2 months. I don't know what's going to happen and the possibility of being homeless exists unless something happens. I'm going to change my Ko-Fi goal and try to stream everyday to try to fund my monthly expenses. As a reward I'm going to put the name of the people who donate in my model. And if possible make a little silly drawing if they want or if they have an avatar. I actually am terrified and feel hopeless and I feel terrible for asking money when I know I can't provide anything worth what I'm asking but I literally have no choice. Moving to a safe place will be a thing I'm hoping to achieve someday, but I want to survive first.

Things got rough and I don't know what to do. I'm going to stream daily to try to get some funds to avoid homelessness and get some stuff covered for a couple months.

I've been getting a lot of questions re: chronic pain + art lately and I'm begging people to consider regular tablets over screen ones, and don't hunch over them. They take some getting used to but they allow for much better posture and reduced strain!

Lenny, the project zomboid dev's reddit post says, That shouldn't be taken as a definitive statement whether AI was used at all, as none of us can possibly say for certain at this point until we look into it more. The important distinction is they were contracted and paid for commissioned art pieces from a professional artist, so WE certainly didn't use AI in replacement of a paid artist. Full statement on the issue on another thread below: ------- This art as well as the new loading screens were all done by the same artist who did our Bob on Car art way back in 2011 way before AI was a thing. He's a professional AAA concept artist whose always preferred to stay anonymous due to avoiding complication with his day job. As to whether there's AI used in any part of these images productions I could not say, I would hope not, but I will say however that in terms of the ethics of AI replacing artists in the industry, I feel confident that either way we have contracted an artist and paid them for the production of this art, it looks awesome, and even if AI was involved in the process in any way there'll have been plenty of and a majority of talented artist skill involved too. Beyond that, particularly in terms of any other concerns about AI art, we'll look into it.

Just like many of you all said in chat, the resurgence of Moon Child is really a testament to the enduring importance of passion projects + the importance of preservation. Had this game not been preserved by many (incl. the developers themselves!) we would have never found this gem ✨
