Europe’s AI future depends on getting the balance right. The European Commission’s Digital Omnibus on AI is a step towards simpler, more innovation-friendly rules, but more work is needed.

This alignment has consequences.

DOJ's original lawsuit accused Live Nation of operating an illegal monopoly that reached into every aspect of the concert business, killing competition, pressuring artists to accept their demands, charging venues extra, and driving up ticket prices for millions.

Not good.

The Justice Department has reportedly reached a settlement of its antitrust lawsuit against Ticketmaster.

Under the agreement, Ticketmaster would be allowed to use multiple vendors to sell tickets and would avoid the most serious consequences of operating its monopoly.
