I should mention I'm talking about JPSIF2, which is way more polished than people give it credit for. It lacked things like card and bond stories and a replay feature but the cards were gorgeous, the gameplay felt MUCH better than SIF1 and the events were extremely fun. It did not deserve it's fate.

People calling SIF2 a cashgrab is really funny to me considering it was one of the most f2p friendly gachas I have ever played.

So I think the samples themselves are fine they’re just destroying them for no reason (e.g Rin SP still using Append samples but sounding worse in every way, and they somehow bringing the clipping consonant sound to Rin NT even though Miku NT didn’t have them?? Crypton is a mystery)

NT did record more samples iirc, or at least they said they would with her final version. But the problem isn’t really the recycling it’s the edits, like why does Miku SP sound like that if she’s just edited V4X Original?

If they just sticked with the original V2 samples the result would be better

I’ll be completely honest with you I despise every single one of the Synthesizer V upgrades so I’m at least happy she’s a V6 instead. V4X is still better just like the other V4s are better as well (Una V4 clears SV so hard it’s not funny) but the last thing I want is realistic Miku.

The problem is not reusing the samples, in fact I think that’s the best case scenario here to keep her sounding like herself.

The problem is specifically using the edited SP/NT samples. I’m glad she at least doesn’t have the horrible SP clipping consonants, but you can still tell it's them.

Just a friendly reminder that, particularly when coming from search result summaries, AI only knows as much as it can glean from sources it deems to be authoritative. Often, those are news outlets that use clickbait, and put writers under pressure to push out articles without much critical thought.

I initially hated the 17 Pro but after seeing it personally.. I kinda dig it? The design of the 14 Pro is better but it started to grow on me.
