Spurs trying to add a fine depth piece when the front 6 of the team is a complete mess, sounds about right.

I don’t even think the squad is a better fit for attacking football, we legit don’t have any passers in our midfield apart from James Maddison. We have basically played this season with no left wing (it’s Wilson Odobert and a collection of half wingers) and our strikers are middling-bad.
Personally I think we mostly don’t have good players. It’s a collection of average-ish to below average or under developed players, plenty who could be in a squad for a bigger side but very few of them would start. We’ve wasted a lot of cash.
Spent about 10 minutes after full time watching this on repeat from r/coys. So much went wrong for Spurs to be here, and it just saddens me to no end. We had a soul, now we’re just a venue for Bad Bunny and Oasis.

I think this is a good breakdown but that 5 mile run/walk at 6 am after 10 beers before 2 am would be hell. Think you’re setting yourself up for an early reversal of fortune

Ryan Mason in his two interim stints of like 10 combined games has more home league wins than Thomas Frank did for Spurs.
Spurs decided to not add another attacker after selling Brennan Johnson, and now Conor Gallagher, a player the club didn't even need is the one playing RW with Odobert potentially picking up a serious injury. It's hard to fathom how bad the rot has set in here.
I think the decline has been even faster than that, we've gone from 5th to potentially 18th in 2 seasons. The mismanagement before was like not paying a bit more money to get better players versus us choosing to sign no one and patting ourselves on the back for fiscal responsibility.
Many great institutions have failed due to astonishing arrogance and Tottenham Hotspur in the span of two seasons seems to be heading toward that track. It's hard to imagine how a club with this financial capability could be run so poorly it's sliding closer and closer to relegation.
Getting up early to watch Tottenham in 2026.

I know I’m a homer but this was the most quintessentially McQuade story. Perfect idea, perfect execution. Dan was the only person on Earth who could’ve written this.
The toothpaste will never go back in the tube for sites like Polymarket but this is so irresponsible from everyone involved.
Just watched Thomas Frank’s Tottenham.

My completely uninformed opinion is Frank is keeping the seat warm for Pochettino next summer. Not a chance Frank can survive more than a season if we keep playing like this.
Highly recommended listen and article. Not only just for Riley Gaines' story, but also you see how her rhetoric has gotten more extreme while she's gained more prominence and more money. It's rather exhibitive into the right wing grift. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Thinking about Penn State/Michigan State tomorrow.
Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has the chance to revolutionize the city’s streetscape, as other ambitious mayors did across the globe. Here’s how nyc.streetsblog.org/2025/11/05/a...

I’m not a James Franklin defender but if you were one of the people who ran down to the tunnel after the game just to boo him you are a complete loser.
I would def start him against Leeds, he’s got tools to work with and those runs in the box are important for us.
I think what makes it more maddening for me is there’s a chance he’s not even a regular starter by the end of the season. So then we just have a prime aged player as a backup that we struggle to shift in another couple years because of his contract.
