Or was I right the first time??

Either my eyes or phone screen are insufficient.

4 days ago 1 0 0 0

Nope I was looking too quickly on my phone. Southeast side of the intersection just south of St Lucas Lofts

That's just west of St Lucas Lofts on New York, it looks like? Southwest side of the intersection?

We need councilors like Jesse in every district. Who walk the walk & talk the talk. #VisionZero matters & we want our electeds to take it seriously

I can't take credit but I'm overjoyed!

DPW would not approve 25 mph limits on the major streets, just the residential ones between them.

Victory! Thanks to awesome resident leaders, we have a resident association and TWG has agreed to give tenants a seat at the table for us to keep working through problems together. Check out the video below, then read "Nothing About Us Without Us", my latest, in the comments.

Passed by the site where this occurred this morning and noticed something-it appears AES removed the 25mph speed limit sign when they were replacing utility poles. That means the last speed limit drivers see before they reach this location is 35mph. That speed was deadly yesterday.

We also need to ensure the 25mph speed limit sign is replaced no later than tomorrow. DPW has the manpower and resources to at least do that much. IMPD needs to step up the enforcement on the corridor and issue steep fines to violators.

I would urge @jesseforindy.bsky.social to push VZ administrator LeAndre Level to implement the SS4A project on this street no later than the end of April and ensure construction on the 10th and Rural intersection begins this summer. The families in our neighborhood demand safer streets.

I just drove home from my tenants' town hall and saw the road blocked off and all the emergency vehicles. My heart fell but this is even worse than I feared.

When disabled seniors are three days late paying their rent, they can be charged up to 10% fees for being late.

But when their landlord racks up $40,000 in unpaid bills to their vendors, they don't pay an extra cent.

Tenants are organizing to combat this injustice. Watch my latest!

Fighters continue to push to reform the Democratic Party.
But for those who have been forced out, there's a new option outside of the two-party system.
My latest constituent email, "More Options for the Working Class", just dropped. Link to the text in the comments!

We need all hands on deck to defeat fascism.

Marion County Democratic Party leadership is pushing people out of the kitchen, instead of pulling up more chairs.

This is foolish to the point of self-destruction. Watch my latest video below, then read the newsletter in the comments.

Indianapolis This Week 2.14.26: Fighting Data Centers YouTube video by Jesse Brown for Indianapolis District 13

Friends and Constituents,

Today I have a less-polished video than usual, to accompany the text of the speech I gave on Thursday opposing the Metrobloks data center being thrust upon Martindale-Brightwood. Watch the video on Youtube, then read the speech in the screenshots.

Seems like some of my comments may have been less clear than I hoped in that committee meeting.

My point was that IndyGo riders were left shouldering the burden rather than the City doing so - which I think would have been appropriate. Asking riders to pay a dollar more shouldn't have happened.

And yet losers like Ron Gibson blocked @jesseforindy.bsky.social's city county council proposal. Get in line or get out of the way!
