Area warlord fails to understand what the number one killer of soldiers has been in history

Curious to see how much more D3-D4 there will be on Thursday’s drought monitor update. Vapor pressure deficits are off the charts, and NDMC’s flash drought blend this week is equally brutal.
As we gear up for what may be an intense fire year, here's a thread of advice for PIOs and other crisis communicators out there, including ICs and agency administrators.
Be true to yourself. The easiest way to lose credibility is to pretend to be someone else. People will know it immediately. 1/
A little over an hour later. 🥺
Let me guess, SUPER El Niño vs spring predictability barrier?
Pineland Road is at least 7,000 acres now and is experiencing an ~80-degree wind shift from one of the South’s critical fire weather patterns: the sea breeze.
Smoky view in Duluth
Current air quality readings from PurpleAir network showing poor air quality in the Twin Ports. 100 and higher is bad.
Impressively low air quality from smoke in Duluth from a prescribed burn in Burnett County, WI. It should thankfully clear out pretty quickly!
Aquí está, todo un logro de la civilización👍
A new language for climate change was voted in: “kokushobi” heat, >40°C (104°F), from the Japanese word koku, meaning harsh or cruel. 2nd choice for the new heat term was ‘super-extremely hot day’ or ‘cho-mosho-bi’, while ‘sauna day’, ‘stay-at-home day’ and ‘boiling day’ were also among the choices.
U.S. Drought Monitor for Georgia showing most of the state in extreme to exceptional drought in the two darkest shades of red. Only a small sliver in east-central Georgia does not have drought, but it is abnormally dry there, as well. Clinch County, where the Pineland Road and Sargent Fires are burning is fully covered by D4 exceptional drought for the first time since the drought monitor began in 2000.
Clinch County is experiencing its first D4 drought since spring 2012, and this is the only time since the inception of the U.S. Drought Monitor that the entire county is 100% covered.
This is Clinch County’s second notable fire of the spring - the Sargent Fire along the GA-FL line is still burning deep into organic swampland soils and has a high potential to escape in the next few days.
SSEC/NOAA product showed GOES0-detected heat from the Pineland Road Fire in southeastern Georgia. Gusty NW winds behind a cold front and much lower humidity will likely mean a fire that continuously burns the next 36-60 hours in pine plantations and dry swamps impacted by exceptional drought.
She gone. The Pineland Road fire that grew ~2300 acres in its first burn period yesterday is off to the races behind today’s dry cold front. RH in south Georgia will drop into the 20s this evening, barely recover into the 40s tonight before tanking as low as 10-15% on Monday.

The Dec-Mar 2025-26 period in the Lower 48 is the driest Dec-Mar on record (since 1940-41). A staggering 46.4% of the area was in the "Much Below" or "Record" dry categories (lowest 10th percentile) and over 70% of the area was in the "Below" or drier categories (lowest 33rd percentile).
The contiguous United States is experiencing record drought levels for this time of year, according to weather data.

Trump: "Global warming -- we're actually cooling as a planet"
About to see if Florida sends another fire into Georgia, or technically, if the Atlantic sea breeze sends it west from its current eastward trajectory.
A national weather service map over the southeast showing fire weather watches in beige over north Florida and southwest Georgia.
Fire Weather Watches up tomorrow and Monday in north Florida and south Georgia. Notable to see such early issuances, but escaped weeks-old fires today, a stronger sea breeze tomorrow and Sunday’s dry cold front are all major concerns. RH may be near 10% Monday due to drought feedback.
Oops!
Good news everyone. The orange pants-shitting child molester who vowed to nuke an entire civilization on Easter is sane.

The U.S. Forest Service’s plan to close scores of research stations could threaten the nation’s wildfire readiness, many foresters fear, and erode decades of work to understand timber production, soil health, pests and diseases, watersheds and wildlife.

Fire managers in the Appalachians have never seen it this dry in April, and fires are exhibiting the most extreme fire behavior they’ve ever seen in the Southeast. Here in Atlanta, lawns are going dormant again, something you usually don’t see until July or August.
