He hands instinctively twitching as if to summon a neural shield—only to freeze when the familiar voice reaches him, he exhales through his nose, resigned yet faintly amused, as the flower necklace lands around his neck.

"You're fortunate I deactivated my auto-defense protocol for island mode"

Then a soft grumble from his stomach.

"Yes ... Tell me—" His head tilted slightly "Is it sanctioned nourishment, or can anyone retrieve it without diplomatic consequences?"

"My nanosystems regulate internal temperature by dynamically adapting to environmental conditions, in essence, I don't sweat because the suit compensates before heat becomes a physiological concern."

He paused, eyes flicking briefly toward her drink.

"Thank you for not banishing the sun on my account" His fingers brush lightly over Erik's arm once more, cooler now from the shade.

"This—" He gestures vaguely at the swaying palms, distant laughter "—This was supposed to be a controlled environment, peaceful, calculated relaxation"

X stood barefoot, letting grains of sand sift through his fingers.

"Composition stable . . . Curious." He glanced up, watching the others laugh in the surf.

He glances over, the faint shimmer of diagnostic data scrolling across his irises before he gently lifts Erik's wrist to examine the sun-warmed skin.

"Your epidermis is already registering minor UV distress. . . I did warn you that playing god doesn't make you immune to sunburn, Erik"
