Maybe it falls under the category of rizz- why else would someone say something as cornball as possible unless they absolutely meant it?

I don't think it's irony, and it isn't sarcastic. You say it because people love hearing it and it's from your heart.

Advice comes to us in ironies and sarcasms layered in pop culture metaphors and improbable events.
To know is to know better, and to be smug about it.

Which makes me wonder. If generational humor comes out of what is transgressive, then a core tenet of Gen z humor seems to be absolute sincerity.

One of the biggest weaknesses of yt American thinking is the fear of sincerity. We try to replace it with what we imagine to be authenticity, but only if it comes in a box of an approved shade from Pantone's pale meconium palette.

But the wise man is cold, cynical, and bored.

Loops in your logic tend to disappear when you stop twisting the string.

Capitalism is the official religion of the United States, and its deity is tripartite: eugenics, fascism, and the market.

If I could choose a time to die, it would be with the first frost after a hot, golden autumn in the Rocky Mountains. That's the flavor I'd like to taste last when I'm done.

A meme that says "You don't have to be everyone's cup of tea. Be gasoline. Set shit on fire." But it is badly cropped, and part of the words are missing.

Is it like gender to them? Is "Man Or Muppet" that universe's trans anthem? Is the nature of our internal senses of gender so crystal in clarity to the 5th dimensional powers observing us?

Ok, another edible night, so I'm ready to continue this thought.

My point is- what are we seeing that is so visibly fundamentally distinct and discrete as flesh and felt that is entirely invisible to them?

The Muppets (2011) included the musical number "Are You A Man Or A Muppet" answered some questions about how the Muppets exist in their world, and raised a few others.

It established that Human and Muppet are two different mutually exclusive states of being.
