Oath of the Ancients paladins need something like a Savage Smite, that deals acid or poison damage.

If you happened to be standing near wherever Superman goes when he needs to move the Earth somehow, you probably wouldn't understand. You'd just see Superman doing a really intense handstand.

WTAF even was Farscape? "Oh, yeah, whenever we pass through an unusually volatile star system, you'll probably find our Chief Science Officer on the roof gooning her brains out." It feels like a fever dream sometimes.

You know at some point in the unavoidable future, humanity's actual spaceships will be crewed by people in Starfleet uniform in honor of Star Trek.

The cover art for a novel. The title, Nameless, is printed vertically by the spine of the book on the left, struck through with a heavy black line. Beneath it, in the same font but smaller, reads "a novel by zoe ann wendler." The cover is shock white, and in faint grey against the white, snowflakes fall from top to bottom, like a whiteout blizzard. Scattered among the snowflakes are nanites, becoming more common the closer to the bottom of the book cover you get. One nanite, dead center, has its three operating lights on, glowing a soft blue.

I am incredibly excited to announce my first novel:

Nameless, a cyberpunk action-adventure set in the dead cold of a January Minneapolis winter, and featuring a pair of queer women leads, thrilling action, and a cat with a prosthetic leg.

Nobody survives the winter alone.

Out February 11!

This image mentions Valdimar Ásmundsson's 1900 translation of Bram Stoker's Dracula into Icelandic and how its many wild deviances from the original went unnoticed for over a century. Attached is a picture of a page from that translation. The page reads only "Translator's Note: Reader, I have taken liberties."

This has the same energy as that one friend who disappears for six months then bursts through your door and closes your blinds before peeking through them and then they turn to you and say:

"I have taken *liberties.*"

Somewhere in the distance, a siren wails. Your life as you know it is over.

I absolutely love it for what it's worth.

And Disney can pry it from my cold, dead, hands.

Maybe it falls under the category of rizz- why else would someone say something as cornball as possible unless they absolutely meant it?

I don't think it's irony, and it isn't sarcastic. You say it because people love hearing it and it's from your heart.

Advice comes to us in ironies and sarcasms layered in pop culture metaphors and improbable events.
To know is to know better, and to be smug about it.

Which makes me wonder. If generational humor comes out of what is transgressive, then a core tenet of Gen z humor seems to be absolute sincerity.

One of the biggest weaknesses of yt American thinking is the fear of sincerity. We try to replace it with what we imagine to be authenticity, but only if it comes in a box of an approved shade from Pantone's pale meconium palette.

But the wise man is cold, cynical, and bored.

Capitalism is the official religion of the United States, and its deity is tripartite: eugenics, fascism, and the market.

If I could choose a time to die, it would be with the first frost after a hot, golden autumn in the Rocky Mountains. That's the flavor I'd like to taste last when I'm done.

A meme that says "You don't have to be everyone's cup of tea. Be gasoline. Set shit on fire." But it is badly cropped, and part of the words are missing.

Is it like gender to them? Is "Man Or Muppet" that universe's trans anthem? Is the nature of our internal senses of gender so crystal in clarity to the 5th dimensional powers observing us?

Ok, another edible night, so I'm ready to continue this thought.

My point is- what are we seeing that is so visibly fundamentally distinct and discrete as flesh and felt that is entirely invisible to them?

The more I learn about the history of the United States, the more glaring the underpinning Puritanism becomes.

But the materials exist to build a new one.

What if we could make the United States That Was Promised?

Moriarty just shows up to one of his reveals wearing nothing but an uneven veneer of extra chunky and a light dusting of nose candy.

Moriarty is absolutely the owner of that relationship. All of his schemes are just elaborate enrichment activities. Holmes is performing in a dog show, and Moriarty is showing him off.

The cocaine is just the positive reinforcement tool.

He is also a pillow princess.

You know that ADHD feeling of having an appointment later so your brain just goes into waiting mode and you can't do anything until the time, even if it's hours away?

I've felt like that my entire life. It's amazing I've gotten anything done at all. I don't even know what the appointment is for.

And yet the number also implies that, despite the differences that seem obvious to us as 5th dimensional observers, these two states are close enough together that being unsure of which one one is is enough to trigger not one but two simultaneous existential crises.

The Muppets (2011) included the musical number "Are You A Man Or A Muppet" answered some questions about how the Muppets exist in their world, and raised a few others.

It established that Human and Muppet are two different mutually exclusive states of being.
